I JUST HAD SURGERY WITH STAPLES.THEY PUT THE Sammons Preston Xeroform Petrolatum Wound Dressings 1"X8" DRESSING ON MY INCISION AND I WAS TOLD TO KEEP IT CLEAN AND DRY.GLAD THIS PRODUCT WAS ON THE OPEN MARKET FOR ME TO PURCHASE AND USE WHEN I WOULD CHANGE MY BANDAGE.MADE ME FEEL THAT I WAS PROTECTING MY INCISION.PLUS I WILL HAVE THESE STRIPS AROUND THE HOUSE WHENEVER NEEDED

I used my last package of this product last week after I severely lacerated myself.Day three of the wound healing, I had run out of non-adherent gauze and in its placed I used a cut piece of this Xeroform dressing as a primary dressing, followed by standard gauze then finished with compression gauze tape.The Xeroform dressing kept my wound moist without macerating the skin or wound bed. Additionally, the pain of the healing wound decreased significantly as compared to wearing a standard non-adhesive gauze as a primary dressing.These are used primarily in burn and graft situations, but with approval of a doctor, they may be used for lacerations too, in order to help promote healing while helping to provide a microbe free environment.

Thin, but medical grade

I like the size of these in the packaging in smaller sizes. However he’s definitely do not stay in place as well as the Curad brand.

Product delivery was delayed. I contacted the seller and they were extremely helpful and response was very timely. I needed these for wound care for 2nd and 3rd degree burns. Smaller than what I thought they'd be but that's my error as I read the measurements wrong.

Excellent for open wound care.
