Good product, takes planning to install on wood posts
I used these grommets with this install, which made it a little more difficult to install (but looks far better!)https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SX17ZND/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1Here's the deal, I'm installing into a standard 3.5" wide post. The grommets stick in to the post about 3/4" (25/32 to be exact). The non-threaded portion of this tensioner is 2". If you do the math, this means that you have to be within 3/4" on each side, or 1.5" of total cable length to be able to adjust this. If you cut the cable too short, then the metal of the tensioner hits the grommet which is sticking into the hole. If you cut the cable too long, then you can't tighten the tensioner enough because you run out of thread. Since you're crimping these on, you get one shot at making it right. All of this adds up to cutting the cable 6 1/4" longer than the inside diameter between the two posts. These crimped very nicely with manual crimpers as well!

Not the easiest to use cable railing end pieces, but the price is right
These cable railing end pieces are certainly not the easiest to use, since the tensioning is not as easy as with a turnbuckle. Make sure you hold the cable in place while you tension using the nut, otherwise the cable might turn and untwist or twist too tight. The ends have to be cut before fitting the cap.Despite the difficulties of working with these end pieces, the price is right: they are significantly cheaper than other end pieces.

Lots of Fasteners Out There, This One Wins For Me
I had to use two different systems based on my deck design. The other system, which involved lags on each end took forever to install, roughly 45 minutes per run. These are about 15 minutes per run, which includes crimping the ends and, in my case, drilling through a couple of posts. I installed these into 4x4s with a 5" square post cover. I was a bit daunted by the blind install, but actually there was nothing to be concerned about and I appreciate the thoughtful answers to a few questions I posted. I can only stress that you could probably do a cable rail system cheaper, but it might take you hours longer. Time is money and, for me, this product was money well spent. I also had reason to get in touch with customer service and they were very responsive.

Very Good
Easy to install - good clean look. I installed in 4x4 post - so these are completely hidden inside the post, which is not really what I was expecting. I wanted some of the metal to stick out of the post (on the inside) to give a cleaner look. But this is still good. If I did it over again I would but more of the little cap pieces (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JMG9ZN6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and put these on the inside of my mounting post as well. ( You would put them on your wire before crimping, run your wire through post, and then push the caps into place, then tension wire).

Half the job!
Fair warning to anyone looking to get this, the last photo seen with the product is misleading (see attached photo). Only comes with the tension side, no anchor in lag screw. Seems pretty easy to use otherwise.

Great look, good for testing your skill. Worth it!
Product heavy duty. That’s good. Tightening down a challenge. You have to measure your exact fit; if it’s too long, your curing the pin with threads off, but if it’s too short, the steel hole protector will interfere with tightening the nut down for a secure wire. End product has come out great but patience and proper measure key. In photo if you zoom on left side of pole you can see where after cutting threaded end, it’s uneven. It can be corrected, just ran out of warm weather. A nice electric cutting tool would help me here.

Great look!
This was a great purchase! I cannot comment on how easy it is to install because I had a contractor doing all of the work, but I received my item quickly and it was exactly what I expected it to be.
