Oil Filter Drain Hose Tool Oil Filter Release Hose,Fit for 2.5L-5.7L Engine with Cartridge Oil Filter Caps

I bought this for my 2017 Toyota 4Runner TRD ORP. For those who own these 5th gen 4Runners, you know that the oil filter hangs straight down and is not the typical canister, it has a paper filter inside a screw on cap. Without this device, you have to screw off a round metal piece, then press in a plastic piece that you get with the paper filter to drain the oil in the bottom of the cap. And there is quite a bit of oil so when you do so you get oil all over your hand and on the ground. This device on the other hand works great. You screw it in and the oil drains through the tube so no more mess. Use this in conjunction with a Fumoto Valve to drain the main oil pan and oil changes are so much easier and less mess. Definitely recommended.

Clever design, well made.....should last a long time. Simple to use. I use this along with a Fumoto drain valve on my 2017 Highlander....not one drop of oil hit the ground or ran down my arm.

I work as a tech at a Lexus dealership and use this tool nearly every day. I had a plastic version of this tool that wore out after about a year's use. Ordered this specifically because of its metal construction. I found the fit and finish of this tool to be exceptional for the cost. Note that it ships from overseas so delivery time is two to three weeks. It is worth the wait.

This tool saves me the effort of pressing the rinky-dink tool that comes with a filter into place and getting out of the way of the inevitable gooey fingers.

Very easy to use. I trimmed down the hose that came with it to suit my needs for length. Now I figure if I do 6 more oil changes it will have paid for itself

Awesome tool for Toyota/Lexus cartridge filter. Way less messy than using the plastic items that come with the filters to drain the oil from the cartridge. The flow doesn’t start until you turn the knurled handle after having threading it into the bottom of the cartridge. Clear tubing is handy to direct the oil into a pan or directly into a recycling container.
