Quick game to fill the time or try to beat each other making it last for hours
Game is fantastic, played with family in 20's 30's and 60's it's so much fun. Game may only last 15 mins but we start again to try and beat each other and can play for hours. Keeps the brain active for all involved, love the use of the bandit, you never know what letters your going to get. Worth the money.

Not Bad To Pass A Few Hours
If you are looking for a good game to play with the family, this could give you some fun. The idea is simple enough, split into teams and try make as many words as you can under the conditions the game sets for you. Each team has to reel off as many words as they can under specific categories to win the round. The game is initially quite fun but not as fun as some of the other word games out there.

Bird is the Word
I am increasingly finding that when I open a box thinking that it is a board game, there is no board involved. 'Word Bandit' seems at first glance to be one of these novelty activities in a box as the dominant feature is a one armed bandit like device. Thankfully, for any lovers of real board games, this bandit is part of a bigger game the requires exciting things like counters etc.The best feature of 'Bandit' has to be the fruit machine like device. You pull the handle and the three wheels spin leaving you with some letters and perhaps a picture of a bandit or two. There are several ways to play the game; using the clever shutter you can reduce the amount of letters you see and change the game. You have traditional finding words in a grid, but you can also play something like famous people's initials, which means that those a little more grammatically challenged can still get in on the action.Although not the greatest piece of engineering, I was impressed with the robustness of the bandit and the spring is a powerful one. The board itself adds some formality to play, but you can easily ignore it and just play with friends. This is a fun game for a family that enjoys word play and it is a little different from most of the other board games that are out there.
