I found this book very interesting for children. Written in simple language, I am sure the children will like this book most.

The children will like the protagonist and might feel the urge to give solutions to his problems too.

Author paints a good insight into the daily life of 'appu'. The first story of 'Jalakanyaka' pulls us into a fantasy tale but later on it gives us a nostalgic feeling during 'appu''s first day at school and his friendship with 'shankarettan'.
