HiLetgo 2pcs 12V Photoresistor Sensor Relay Module Car Light Automatic Control Switch with Cable

After ordering an all in one photocell w/relay in a big dome package that kept arriving as 220VAC and not 12VDC, I ordered this. It WORKS! Seems decent and has led indicators too. No instructions, but if you are buying this bare circuit board device you probably can figure it out.

The device works as advertised but delayed switching feature would be nice. I added these to two vehicles aftermarket stereos for auto-dimming and they work. It does unnecessarily dim for building and tree shadows while driving so a delay timer would be a great addition to the product.

Use these for an automatic door on my chicken coop. I’ve had a couple fail, my fault. Using outdoors the must be in a sealed enclosure. Ants love these boards for some reason. They pile and short it out. In my wiring the doors stay open when the board fails, not good. Great product for the money

I needed a light sensing relay that would be ON in daylight and OFF in dusk/darkness. This does exactly that. I use it to control a small DC motor which turns a piece of garden art. Without this combined light sensor and relay which allows the circuit normally on OR normally off I would have needed to have a separate light sensor to activate a separate relay complicating the circuitry.

I use this device to control my automatic chicken house door. When enough light is available, it engages the up motor to open the door and when the light level goes low, it engages the down motor to close the door. A single trim pot allows me to adjust the light level required to engage and disengage the device, which works perfectly for my application.

2 units and both failed in a few days.

The only problem I found with these unit was extending the sensor wire. The wire conductor is thin and can easily break where stripping to extend it. I wish it had screw terminals rather then the plug so I could just use my own wire.After wiring it to a window table lamp, I found at dusk the light would trip on and off as traffic pasted. Still working on that problem. Just can't make up it's mind.

The product worked as expected. I used it to trigger a grade crossing module for my model railroad.
