Schilke Small Shank Trombone Mouth Pieces (51D)

It was exactly what my son needed for his Euphonium.

Great mouthpiece. I am just a beginner, but it improved my sound right away.

The Schilke 51D is one of the best mouthpieces I have used in a long time. It has a great feel on the lips, a solid weight, and an amazing deep cup. I highly recommend this mouthpiece for the higher level high school student or college student, and for the price that Amazon offers, it's a steal.

The mouthpiece shank is longer then most therefore it plays a bit flat on some horns.

I bought this junior year of high school with the hope of getting a darker tone on euphonium. This mouthpiece definitely helped me achieve that goal. Overall it is comfortable to play on and one of the very best options for small shank euphonium mouthpieces (most actual euph mouthpieces are in a European shank or large shank). I am still satisfied with it as a freshman music major in college, and only plan on switching mouthpieces when I purchase a euphonium with a different shank size.
