I’ve been wearing Vanity Fair Illumination bikini panties for at least a decade. They are nearly perfect for me, which is saying a lot since my hourglass shape makes it super challenging to find bikini panties that cover properly AND stay put.I should add that I always buy panties at least one size larger than I technically need, because I prefer them to be a bit loose and it seems to help prevent creeping. This may influence my perception of the fit.My one and only gripe with these is the placement of the cotton lining. It’s positioned much, much too far back, so it doesn’t go nearly high enough up the front (where you really need it), and goes way too far up the back, where it’s totally useless and super ugly to boot (very visible seam right across the seat). I put up with this because they are otherwise great, but wish they’d redesign this aspect.My 4-star rating is based on my general overall experience with this product.Unfortunately, i just received a pretty patterned pair that was a total fail (Tuesday Tango print). The descriptions for all Illumination panties, both briefs and bikinis, say 5% spandex, and every pair in my closet is labeled 5% spandex. Every pair EXCEPT the black dotted ones I bought a year or so ago. That pair and this one are both 12% spandex. I almost never wear the dotted ones, because they irritate my skin and don’t stay put in the same way. They are just so uncomfortable.So, this new pair is not going to be wearable for me. I’m returning them, even though I really love the color and pattern.If anything higher than 5-7% spandex is uncomfortable for you, beware.

Size 8 for larger hips runs a little tight for 42". I'm more comfortable in a 9 but that's not offered unless you can locate the XXL. Fit in the hips is important for bikini style. I have a smaller waist and large hips, an hour glass. This brand is a replacement for VASSARETTE BIKINI underwear I loved and can't find anymore. The style is very similar with the 2 strings open at the hip, though the mid front doesn't rise quite as much, I think due to less roominess from less fabric. These certainly are more durable than any of the cotton string bikinis. I've worn this style up to two years without needing replacement. I like the color range.Keep in mind the shorter rise and hip measurement for comfort when ordering over 42" hip. I keep this brand in my Look out box to alert me as they're available.

4 instead of 5 stars because I wish it were made of cotton. However, the cotton variety (which is/was available) most assuredly does not fit well at all compared to this. For those unsure of which size to choose, I am 5'4" 130 lbs with round/"athletic" but generous derriere; so, could do with medium/6 but I prefer looser fit so I wear large or size 7 and still no dreaded wedgies. Have worn several colors of this style for several years. Note that this lovely light gold color quickly loses its brilliance in the washer. And if your dryer is as voracious as mine, it will develop fuzz by the 3rd time around. Best to handwash if you want to maintain that new look longer.

I have these in a number of colors. They fit as expected, the colors are lovely, and --very important--they last longer than undies made by many other companies. Previously I got some undies from another company at a same time as Vanity Fair panties and the elastic stretched pretty soon on the other panties, while the Vanity Fair panties held their fit and are still just fine.

I always buy these underwear and continuously review every new pair I order. Its the only kind I'll wear. Size and quality is consistent. Color of these, the "Whisper" color I believe it was called ? is more of a light purple than the white that it looks like in the picture. This does not affect my review, however, as it doesn't bother me in the least.Perfect!

Comfortable, unlike most attractive undies, and flattering as anything. They stay in place instead of riding around. Crucially, my husband loves them. Say no more. Wash well, too. I bought a couple earlier this year and have now gone ahead and bought 6 more.

Giving this product a one star only because the lace rips right away. Fit and Styling are exactly what I wanted so I ordered this in three different colors all three were ruined after only a few times on - had to be thrown away. (I use lingerie bags to launder so these weren’t roughed up in the wash either - just poor quality fabric)

Runs small!! I have many pairs of this style underwear from vanity fair, but this was my first time purchasing the lace. They are much smaller than all my other pairs and I wish I had gone up a size. Cute, but small.

This is the 15th or 16th pair that i have purchased of this type of panties (different colours). They are just so comfortable to wear, fit great and are so sexy looking.

I have a few underwear of this style and all feel and fit very well. They are extremely comfortable to wear for any occasion.
