Formica Brand Laminate 002041258408000 Laminate, Butcherblock Maple Long Matte

I ordered two 4x8' sheets of the Calacatta Marble pattern to use in my kitchen remodel. I was worried about the sheets potentially arriving damaged based on other reviews. The two sheets shipped very quickly, and arrived within only a few days of ordering. The sheets were rolled into a four foot box. When I removed the sheets from the box, they immediately flattened out- there was no curve to them from being in the box. There was no damage to either sheet. The pattern is absolutely beautiful and high resolution. I just did the rough cuts and am currently in the process of fitting these on my kitchen countertops. I recommend using masking tape/painters tape over the cut line if using a circular saw or jigsaw to make rough cuts- it helped prevent chipping when I cut. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

I've been fabricating laminate countertops professionally on and off for 15 years. This particular laminate has one of the best designs on it. Most of the older prints have obvious repeating patterns, but this one looks more natural. I have exclusively used Formica band laminates and if I have only one complaint, it's that with some of these darker prints there is a thin layer of white within the layers which makes it more difficult to file the edges without that white layer becoming an eyesore. No this is not a thin vertical grade laminate as others have suggested. You can tell initially by the part number. It shows the color code, the grade, and the texture code.

showed up damaged. the Formica was shipped in a square box and the corners were all damaged. we were able to use what was left. they should ship with form on the ends of the box

updated a 2009 camper with this Formica and very pleased, 1 sheet did the table, counter top and bathroom counter, we still had some left over.

My computer desk was showing major signs of wear—scratches, scuffs, and a big spot where using a mouse had removed and dulled the finish. I was going to refinish the wood, but figured the same thing would happen in a year's time. So, I went to Lowes to see about getting a laminate to cover the damage. They didn't have anything in stock, but I found samples I liked and would order it online. When I went to their website, the laminate I wanted was out of stock. After waiting a couple months, it was evident that Lowes would never restock the material. I never thought I'd find laminate on Amazon, but I typed in a few key words and found many styles and patterns of Formica. I was struggling between two colors, and eventually ordered the Prestige Walnut. I was a little hesitant, but was surprised when my order arrived in perfect shape a few days early. The Formica was a gorgeous color, matching my desk perfectly. All I needed was a couple days and a can of contact cement, and my desk looks like new—actually, better than new. Thanks Amazon. I'll be checking here first before looking elsewhere for almost anything.

When the box arrived it looked fine from the outside, but when I opened it, had a hole about a foot across torn in it. I got compensated for the sheet, but not the shipping.

Excellent product. Fast, free shipping! Great packaging. Make sure you watch a video on preparation and installation. Material is very thin and any preparation imperfections will be noticeable. I'm using this in my shop so it's not as big of a concern.

I misunderstood the description this is vertical grade formica that's half the thickness of countertop formica. That's why the price is as good as it is that was not what I wanted
