Bought these for a friend that lost everything in a house fire. I ordered the black handles but received the silver handled knives. These are great knives. I would not put the silver handled ones in the dishwasher- it tends to tarnish handles. These are top quality knives-will last you a lifetime. Well worth the money.

I have used Rada knives for 25+ years and been happy with them until recently. I never knew you should be hand washing and drying them to maintain the handle finish. Suddenly the finish now turns your hands, and your food, black. I noticed the new set was now available with a black handle and before purchasing inquired about the finish. The answers indicated they would hold their finish and one even said the black handles were plastic. Well, they are the same finish as the regular brushed stainless finish only black. I have no doubt that over time (without hand washing and drying), these too will lose their finish. Sigh. Other than that, I really like these knives.

I purchased these as a gift for my grandma, as she had stated that she would like a new set of paring knives.She was thrilled to receive these, and made sure to tell me how much she loves them after giving them a try.

Love buying MADE IN AMERICA and these are...so I bought two sets! Super sharp straight out of the box. Are there EVER enough small knives in the drawer? I wanted a quality knife that would easily cut through apples or unripe pears with ease. I think there are a million uses for small knives and I honestly don't like the cheap little things that are multi-colored and often too small. So I read a lot of reviews and decided to try these. I like the feel in my hand and I like having the option to put them in the dishwasher so I bought the ones with resin handles. Overall very pleased. Will try not to put them in the dishwasher in hopes of longer life. And if/when I run them through, I will update with results.
