What can I say. It's a crossbar. And ...
What can I say. It's a crossbar. And it does cross bar stuff. As advertised. My only complaint that is not worthy of a reduction in my rating is the noise generated by the front crossbar as installed on my 09JK, but, that is something that can happen to any model crossbar/rack system, and can be mitigated by a little research and the addition of a wind deflector or other solutions if necessary.Update#1: Added picture so you can see how much these 60 inch bars stick out on each side. About one inch or so, but, the shape of the hard top is a little tapered so they are basically flush with the sides of the jeep. A bungee cord wrapped a few times around the bar cuts down on the noise believe it or not. Talk about a silly yet simple solution that worked for me. Front bar was the main culprit, but, no big deal.Update#2 (29 Nov 2015) : Mounted cargo basket and now the wind noise that was still present is completely gone. This is the most quiet installation I have ever had concerning cargo rack crossbars and cargo baskets on any vehicle I have owned (When driving at highway speeds). Go figure.

Unbelievable wind noise!
I installed these crossbars on my Isuzu trooper and soon found out that the 'whisper bars' were the way to go. Any time I drove above 45 mph the bars whistled (like blowing into a bottle) so loudly and violently that the dome light was rattling and almost came loose. Give serious thought to how you will drive with this product before ordering...

These worked great on our Wrangler
These worked great on our Wrangler. Just one word of caution. Without the basket (we tried to just leave these on so as to not have to go through all the work next time we wanted to use the basket) these will whistle LOUDLY at certain speeds or if the wind is just right. And I mean unbearably loud whistling. So we took them off until next time. Not a huge problem, just an FYI.

ANNOYING wind noise - whether it's with or without the crossbar end caps
I have the Surco crossbars on my jeep jk without the Surco roof basket. The crossbars make the MOST ANNOYING whistling noise when driving about 65mph and over. It's unbearable. I bought the Surco crossbar plugs to cover the open ends, and this only made the whistling HIGHER PITCHED, making it even more annoying. Also the surco hard top adapters I have left marks on my hardtop. I contacted Surco and am still awaiting a reply. Used these Surco products for only 6 months.
