This rare, highly-detailed Spider-Man action figure was based on the 2001 film. This figure features over thirty points of articulation and comes with a gargoyle ledge and a retractable web line.

Does whatever a spider can...
The name says it all: Super Poseable Spider-Man. This is easily one of the most articulate figures I have ever seen. I'm going to mention all the joints in descending order. Bear with me as I don't know the official terms, so I'm going to provide a legend of my definitions.Ball Joint: a joint where there is a ball in a hole and the pieces are able to rotate in a spherical array.Disc joint: a joint seen on most action figure shoulders where there is a disc with a pin on the end plugged into a socket allowing for 360 degree rotation as well as a 180 degree (or less) tilt.Twist joint: a simple joint joining two (usually flat) surfaces together allowing for a 360 degree spin.Pin joint: a coupling joint where a piece is inserted into the middle of another piece and a pin is driven through holes in all three sections of material allowing for a 180 degree tilt or less depending on how the material is molded.HEAD (where head meets neck): ball, NECK (where neck meets body): ball?, SHOULDERS: disc, BICEPS: twist, ELBOWS: 2 pin joints per forming an elbow-cap, as it were, FOREARMS: twist, WRISTS: pin, middle two FINGERS on each hand: pin, MID-TORSO: ball-like, but I'm not sure, WAIST: twist, HIPS: disc, THIGHS: twist, KNEES: same as elbows forming knee-caps, CALVES: twist, ANKLES: an odd dual-pin that tilts front-to-back as well as side-to-side, TOES: pin.How the figure looks is almost as remarkable as his articulation. It is extremely accurate down to the raised webbing on the red sections and pebbly texture on the blue sections. Other than that there's not much to talk about other than the muscle sculpts which are decent as any, I suppose. He's Spider-Man, he doesn't have a facial sculpt. Although I would like to point out that the eyes aren't exactly even. Looking at it straight on, his right eye is slightly higher than his left, but from a distance or at an angle, it's really not noticeable.I am obliged to mention the gargoyle. It's made of what feels like a cheaper plastic and is not anything special. The retracting web line built into it retracts extremely fast even with him attached; and without him it's almost instantaneous. The one cool feature of it is that it has a detachable plastic C-clamp that can attach to the edge of a table as well as a hole in the back so that it can hang off of a nail or thumbtack in the wall. The box itself was actually an enjoyable aspect for me because it was riddled with dents, scratches and shelf-dust. This made it look like an ancient relic from a forgotten era, which is partially true, I suppose. As I am an out-of-box collector, I was just going to throw the box away anyway. But if you like to keep your figures mint and are expecting a pristine box, that's probably not going to happen buying through Amazon. Now, as far as the figure itself, this is an original Spider-Man figure from 2002, so the quality is much higher than most stuff they make now. My brother bought this exact figure when it was originally released and, other than slightly loosened joints, it has held up to years of duress. Obviously nothing is indestructible, but if you take good care of your toys, this one will be just fine. I've been needing a Spider-Man for my collection so I figured I'd go with something tried and true. Naturally, because of the quality and age, the price is going to be a bit hefty. I got mine for around $35, but I'd consider that lucky. But if you want a good quality Spider-Man, I doubt that there are many better than this one.

TRUE SPIDERMAN FIGURE
I got this spiderman for my 5yr old grandson for his birthday and he likes it, unfortunately I also got him the black spiderman and venom so this guy rearley get played with! Its nice though, but I recommend buying him alone so that he is enjoyed more because he is a great spiderman figure! Beware though, he is very poseable, fingers, wrists, ankles, feet, etc and his head kind of bobbles, that part my 5yr old didn't like about it, but he still wanted to keep it, my 15yr old thinks it really cool! Thanks Amazon for having this guy at a decent price!
