The Complete Screech Owls, Volume 1 Paperback – November 29, 2005

My 11 yo hockey playing, mystery loving son is dyslexic and reading has never been a favorite activity--if anything, it is dreaded and I'm a HS English teacher! I don't have to fight with these books to get him to read. We bought the whole set for him.

My 4th grade grandson loves these books! I bought him Volume 1 and Volume 2 as a Christmas present. He is already on Volume 2. He also has read the one set in Pittsburgh which I had given him on December 21st. The other night when I was baby sitting he asked if he could read a little longer as he was almost done with one of the books. For a nine year old boy to ask for a longer reading time, these books have to be good!!!!!

I was very disappointed that this was listed under childrens' comic books, and is not a comic book at all. I am trying to get my grandkids to read more and I don't know if my grandson will read this or not. Maybe, because it is about a hockey team.

I am always looking forward to finding Hockey-related subject matter for my budding third grader to read. Unfortunately, the third or fourth page in the FIRST book contains inappropriate content. My nine year old brought it to me to ask about it right away. I would hope that we could keep the book clean at this age.

These books were recommended by an adult for my four boys to play hockey. I could not believe some of the things in this book thank goodness my son came and showed it to me… Things like watching pornography in a hotel room during a hockey tournament… Seriously what kind of books are these

Great Book Series my 10 year old son plays hockey and is enjoying these books!

I liked this book because of the mysteries and the action in this book . Roy MacGregor is a awesome writer. Canadians rule.
