Love this wine!
Bought for a Friend's birthday as this is our favourite wine. was well packaged and arrived in good condition. Went down a treat and my friend loved the surprised. It's hard to get in many places in the UK so was very nice.

Very nice - but not just 'sparkling red wine'
I bought this as a sparkling red wine without - to be honest - reading the description too closely. My only brush with a similar product before had been the rather foul Jacobs Creek equivalent, and was buying a bottle again as part of an experiment to see if Sangria tastes better when made with fizzy red wine.My partner and I being serious about our science, we also made a 'control sangria' with normal red wine, and conducted the whole experiment in lab coats and sombreros. However, it turns out this Fragolino is not really just 'sparkling red wine'.1. It is red.2. It's not really very sparkling - semi-sparkling maybe?3. It's very, very sweet and tastes strongly of strawberries. The label says something in Italian that leads me to believe it is a wine-based drink, i.e. it actually has fruit in it.That said, the Amazon description makes it clear that this is a sweet wine that tastes of strawberries, and as a dessert wine it would be absolutely delicious. However, as a sparkling wine for two sombrero-wearing booze scientists, it's inappropriate.
