Border Patrol Exam: Power Practice

Book is good only if you want to practice more logic questions, but you don’t need it. Stick with the CBP guides, all you need. Save your money.

I just took the Border Patrol Test in Nov 2017. There language portion is not tested anymore but those questions are replace with more logical reasoning question. To prep for the test, this book, in my opinion, displayed the correct level of difficulty that you will find on the real test. So, if your taking the current test then this will help you out. I also studied out of the other Border Patrol Entrance Exam book by learning Express and the study guide provided for free on the border patrol website. Using all three of these study books, I scored a 94 on the actual exam.

I thought that overall this book was pretty good since the practice questions on the government website were minimal. However, I'm not sure some of the logic questions are all that great. Needless to say, you DO need to practice for this exam, and this is likely the best book out there to help you do so. The Spanish and AI tests were helpful as well. I'd definitely recommend going through all the practice tests if you are seriously considering a career in BP.

The actual border patrol test does not include a language portion anymore, so thoes portions of the book are useless. However, the book provides numerous logic questions which reflect what is on the test and usefull.

This teaches you how to study properly for the test. I followed the tips and I feel really prepared for the test.
