Check product best before date!
This is a great cereal that stays crunchy for quite some time in milk. It also has good fiber content allowing for a filling meal. Oh, and it tastes pretty good. So why the one star? Well after making my way through the first bag I noticed the best before date was more than 1 month prior to when I placed the order. I'm assuming because it's cereal it's ok, but why is Amazon, or the vendor, selling old product? So FYI people, check your product dates when you get your order!

Reformulated and no longer edible!
My husband and I have been lovers of Heritage Flakes for many years, even before we got married. We were horribly disappointed, upon opening a new box this morning, to find that the recipe has been reformulated. The flakes are sweeter, nearly tasteless, and much thinner. They no longer hold up to milk and had a stale texture to them.I'm encouraging any and all to submit feedback to the company via mail or through their website. You can find their contact information here: [...]If they get enough feedback, maybe they will go back to the original recipe!UPDATE: It turns out that the factory that normally produces Heritage Flakes had a machine down, and the machined in another factory that picked up the production slack wasn't calibrated correctly, resulting in the thinner flakes. A representative from Natures Path assured me that they haven't changed the recipe or formula at all! Great news!!

Yummy! Crunchy! Sharp flavor!
I think this is one of the better tasting cereals in Nature's Path line up. The taste is a curious combination of sweet and sharp; a flavor that your taste buds will remember long after the meal. Plus, if you like your cereal to be crunchy and not soggy, try this one out. Yes, the flakes bathing at the bottom of the bowl in milk for 5 minutes will start to soften, but the rest are amazingly crunchy. I've missed whole news stories on TV because I can't hear over the crunching. My wife and I had moved away from eating cereals in the more recent past because we wanted to reduce our intake of sugar and useless calories. Oatmeal and other breakfast options just had more of the right nutrients. Well, check out both the nutrients and ingredients for this cereal; much better stats than we've seen before from any of the major manufacturers, even from Nature's Path. And, at 160 calories for a full cup of flakes, it's the one cereal that will not leave you feeling hungry due to a ridiculously small portion size.

Best Healthy Cereal There Is
IMO, this is by far the best healthy cereal there is. No guilt, eat as much as you want. I eat a super large bowl every day. And have been for the last 2 years since I discovered it.That said, I stopped buying it here cause the price per volume that you get is just unreasonable. I get just a little over 2 bowls per box ! Thats insane. I simply can't afford that and these tiny boxes. So I get it much cheaper now at Costco. And they come in huge boxes. As far as flavor, you wanna think its like a healthy Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Which was my second favorite cereal under Fruit Loops. So its like you get that Cinnamon Toast Crunch taste, but in a healthy way and with a little twist of course. The Turmeric I guess is playing the role of the cinnamon to my taste buds. IDK, but its awesome and the Turmeric is a great spice ! Super good for you.The coconut is basically not part of the taste to my taste buds, I can't really taste it. I eat this in organic unsweetened Almond Milk btw. Cause I stopped drinking cow pus decades ago. Gross concept to me now. I suggest for anyone to eat it in Almond milk !

It's my go-to cereal! And it's impact resistant!
I just can't find a better cereal for the price. I love the heirloom grains, decent fiber, low sugar content and the fact that it's organic. It's just slightly sweet; unless you're coming off a lifetime addiction to Frosted Flakes it will taste fine. I feel like these stay crunchy in milk for a reasonable amount of time, and there are countless ways to dress it up with fruit and nuts or my favorite: freeze dried fruit. I also throw it into trail mix to flesh it out a bit, and in my experience it withstands the rigors of hiking without crumbling into unsatisfying dust. I don't find it particularly difficult to chew as one might expect from OTHER impact resistant cereals with way more fiber and a creepy box depicting two people who are uncomfortably close to one another...

No Soggy Flakes!
I originally found this cereal at Costco and loved it; but, then it was discontinued. This cereal is fabulous. Even if it sounds yukky, give it a try. The coconut taste is very subtle, as is the turmeric, and it’s delicious. Also, soggy cereal is not my thing. These flakes don’t turn to mush when you add your almond-coconut milk. Health benefits aside, it’s my favorite cereal.

Bring back the thick flakes!
I opened my new box this morning and nearly cried. I’m simply stunned that Heritage changed what was the best cereal on the planet! The flakes in my new box were thin and wispy and pale; in short, they look and feel like ordinary corn flakes. And, as expected, they got soggy quickly just like any cereal. Until now, Heritage Flakes was the ONLY cereal my family and I would eat. What made this cereal stand out WAY above other cereals was the thick flakes. I also love the nutty flavor without too much sweetness, but it was the thick flakes that really made this my one-and-only. I even turned my extended family and friends on to this cereal, it was that good. I’m speechless. Please, please bring back the thick flakes!

Kinda plain
I waited until I had opened the 2nd box to be sure I didn’t just review an outlier (since I had to order 6 boxes to try this stuff)The flavor is quite underwhelming. Nearly like eating plain corn flakes. Only after an entire bowl do I have a slight turmeric taste in my mouth, it’s more like an aftertaste. I don’t really taste the cinnamon/honey either. They show an image of some quite colored golden milk, ha! I’ve let this soak in milk for 10-15 minutes. In the end there is only a very subtle color difference to the milk and not really any flavor change.IMO this cereal is a let down. I love cinnamon, honey & turmeric so I thought this would be an amazing cereal.
