Local dealers are 5x this price.This is a replacement number for an older model # and dimensions are slightly different but no big deal for me.

Replace failing AC CAPACITOR

Works great. Saved me a probable $300 bill from the repairman. A friend brought one over when my a/c broke down and switched this out. I ordered two to replace his and to keep a spare.

My old capacitor was a genteq as well. I replaced a 10 year old cap that was still working out of an abundance of caution. If the old one lasted that long I expect this one shall do the same. It was a little smaller than the old one but still the same rated microfarad.

Just replaced original capacitor and had one of these as spare. My A/C fan started working right away. Since the replacement had the same electrical specs but was smaller in diameter, I had to drill a hole in the metal brace that holds the capacitor to the A/C frame. Total time for the repair was about 2o minutes. Just ordered a new one to have at hand.
