ICE Resin ® Opals, Fire Opal, Royal Blue

I had hoped to use this like glitter on a coloring book page, like for dragon scales, but this stuff isn't flat. It's little irregular shaped flakes that seem curled and they're kind of rough and ornery. It probably will look great in some other project, but I don't know if it will ever look like multi-colored dragon scales! I might be able to control the effect by mixing it with a thick clear glue, but who knows.

I was so excited to use this and when I did I used it in a 1” deep seashell (real seashell not a mold) all the glitter sank to the bottom and the top is just clear.

It’s freakin glitter. That said, once mixed with superglue and sanded down, it does look like opal.

This confetti is stunning. It is actually larger than what I was expecting from reading all the reviews that complained of it being small. I found that it actually was too big for the project I had in mind for it as it was so sparkly it overwhelmed the fine detail of the resin cast. BUT... that was my error, not the product. This is an amazing color and texture, and I look forward to casting some less detailed items with it.

I love this fire opal, it looks wonderful and makes all my pieces look fantastic. I love the colors I get with it. Depending on the piece I'm making, I do have to say that it's a bit heavy, so it will sink to the bottom of what you're doing. But if you have let your resin thicken a bit before pouring into the mold it will kind of gradually sink to the bottom vs. Freshly poured resin where it will all settle closer to the bottom.

Beautiful result. Every time I wear the pendant I get compliments! People can’t believe the I made it myself.

Please note these are not 3 dimensional... just rough cut colored mylar.. but does give an interesting effect in resin

I'm using this with my epoxy resin projects. So far I've used it in those dagger molds and a little bit in black sand for ocean theme keychains. I really like it and will use it for faux opal jewelry in the future.

This is so beautiful it will be an awesome addition to my mixed media pieces. It shimmers yet has deep colours.
