Blue Sky Black Death, the renowned URB Next 100 production duo of Kingston & Young God, present "The Holocaust Instrumentals." Originally released in late 2006 in an inspired full length pairing between BSBD and renowned Wu-Tang affiliated emcee, The Holocaust (4,000+ units scanned to date), fans have long been clamoring for the isolated instrumentals from this widely regarded classic release. In addition to pairing with the Holocaust, Blue Sky Black Death have also collaborated with and/or produced for the likes of Guru (Gang Starr), Sabac Red (Non-Phixion), Jus Allah, Wise Intelligent (Poor Righteous Teachers), Rob Sonic, Virtuoso, Chief Kamachi, Hell Razah, A-Plus and Pep Love (Hieroglyphics), Mikah-9 (Freestyle Fellowship), and Awol, amongst many others. With "The Holocaust Instrumentals," Blue Sky Black Death offer a highly anticipated snapshot of their sonic sensibilities from this unique collaborative project.

I really, really want to give this album a 5/5 but I can't, but it is damn close to perfect. BSBD does a phenomenal job on production and Warcloud (aka Holocaust or Alcatraz) is pretty thoughtful on this album. You can tell both rap artist and production crew were on the same plane of elevation for this album. The production is simple yet intricate at the same time. The one complaint I do have is that very few of the beats just have a little too much goin on. Number 5 is a good song but on this one I prefer Holocaust's normally fast paced delivery over slower, weaving, dream like beats on this album but the beat on #5 is a wonderful beat with Japanese influence but then they slam the violins (I think) with a fast tempo for a while and honestly I think that beat would be better just excluding those. Sometimes on the album the whole "Less is more" comes into play in certain spots.None the less this album ranks my top ten and the instrumental version of the album is an excellent addition. If you like Warcloud/Holocaust this album is a must. If you like solid hip hop this album is a must. If you are a Wu-Tang fan this album is a must.Besides finally getting all of RA the Rugged Man's albums probably my best cd purchase on amazon yet.

Better with out the vocals
I was disappointed with the performance of the Wu Tang Clan on the other version of this album. The music is still BSBD but you can tell it was specifically composed with a hip-hop overlay in mind. CRASH is an example. With most trip hop groups, and like the other albums, a clever rapper could lay something down with out BSBD creating space for it. If Blue Sky Black Death does another album like this I hope they 'give' less.

If you want style, rhythm, intelligence, and integrity, then this is the WU-Tang artist-release for you!
The title really says it all here. Rising from the ashes of the underworld comes The Holocaust. This album has to be one of the best, and highly under appreciated, releases here. No one knows The Holocaust, but they should. Tracks like " No Image ", " Twilight Zone ", are true classics. The item listing also stated " Like New " condition. Was still sealed in its original packaging no less when was shipped. Highest marks to this seller, artist, and album! Is slightly elusive, but well worth the effort there in tracking down a CD release here!

Addictive dark funky beats
BSBD always makes incredible music. If you don't like rap, you may be tempted to avoid them, but they are more musically astute than most DJs and live instrumentalists out there. And fortunately they do have an impressive selection of instrumental albums. This album is more for the beat freak purist. If you like this, but want more variety and layer upon layer of meticulously orchestrated instrumentation and scientifically precise sampling, make BSBD's album Late Night Cinema your next choice. Or just buy them both now - you'll be very happy you did.

Dark, ILL, And Vivid Imagery
This album is just dark and very influential. The lyrics that "the holocaust" produces just paints imagery of the highest perfection among artists in the same league. The combination of BSBD with this artist goes perfect with the concept that is being depicted on the album and the tracks are self-explanetory. The music on this album is very good and the first time i heard this i was sucked into this world with the greatest depiction of lyrics that are just out of control but in the best way.

an intellectual approach to Rap
This is not a rap song from the typical, it is very elaboratly interwoven and probably travels over the head of most. True this CD is a decent CD even at surface value, but the deep sewn interwoven lyrics and clever play on words is magnificient. The song "We are well known" has some great lyrics and interweaves fictional and historical figures with a divine elegance...there is another song with Greek mythology woven in very well. Quite possible my favorite rap CD of all time.... really a must have for everyone who is tired of mainstream rap.

Melodic memoires of Ned Yaj, the nervous merchant
I vastly propose purchasing this instrumental album.. I'm an avid lyricist, and this album ranks up there with some of the sickest beats I've ever heard.. It's got some rugged, sulky, polyrhythmic, atmospheric type ISH.. Much love to these cats man.. U gots to pick this one up.. I give this one 2 blunts up. Snidely Whiplash A.K.A Ned Yaj the nervous merchant..

This music is ok...
The music is ok, but the WuTang has certainly lost their edge. Though the lyrics (raps) were delivered, I felt they lacked honest emotion and it felt like some one was just reading lyrics off a page. I was expecting a lot as BSBDs Trip Hop music seems like a good delivery method for Hip Hop vocals. If you are a Wu Tang Clan fan, you should buy the album and see 'whats good', but to be honest, I didn't recognize any voices.

visionary hip hop
Anyone familiar with Warcloud/Holocaust/Alcatraz/Robot Tank will know his style. I'd describe him as a cross between the wordy approach of Canibus with the loose, drunken vocal stylings of ODB and MF DOOM. This album sees him paired up with Blue Sky Black Death, whose dark soundscapes work well with Holocaust's inventive visions. Imagine a poetic version of flipping channels between a David Attenborough nature documentary, a 5 percent lesson, folk tales and a gangster film and you'll be close to the mysterious world Holocaust weaves with his words. If you like any of the MCs I've mentioned already, definitely check this out...

Top Produktionen...
