Performed very well with dynamic stalking of wild game in both open plains and woods
I've now had the chance to do two hunts with this in Hawaii (for goat and wild cattle). Both hunts involved spot and stalk hunting, but in different environments (open plains and denser woods). The hunts entailed quite a bit of crawling while stalking, sitting still and glassing, even lying down and belly crawling, etc - in other words, lots of varied and dynamic movement while approaching game, with plenty of opportunities for the arrows to get snagged on brush or trees, sat on while glassing for game, etc. The quiver performed really well. By sliding it around more to the front or back of my leg as needed (a simple movement), I could pretty much get it out of the way for whatever movement I was doing, and it didn't take much thought to do so. I was concerned in some cases that the arrows themselves might wag around in the air (e.g. while crawling) and attract unwanted attention from the game, but I didn't have this problem in any of the scenarios we found ourselves in.I personally shoot much better without a bow mounted quiver, hence my trying this quiver setup - and it proved out as both hunts ended with perfect shots after tricky stalks. The bow is also a lot lighter without a bow mounted quiver. And, in a situation like on the plains, where the wind can be stronger, not having a quiver and arrows with their vanes attached to the bow makes a big difference in terms of the bow bouncing around in the wind.I would definitely use it again, though 8 arrows is more than I need. I carried this with 6, but even so I would prefer less bulk in the quiver itself - given it is designed to hold 8 arrows, even with only 6 arrows, the grippers still provide extra bulk I didn't need and would have been happier without. I think I'm going to get the Tarantula 5-arrow hip quiver for future use while hunting. There will be scenarios in which I use a bow mounted quiver but this performed so well on my hunts - especially given all the types of stalking we were doing - I will definitely use it again.

Broadhead Hip quiver
This is a nice quiver. It also works for 20" crossbow bolts.

it moves when you move and you dont have to worry about your arrows falling out
I gave it 4 stars only because there are 8 arrow slots at the top but there isnt enough room at the bottle for the 8 arrows to be placed. but the hip qvr is totally worth the money i can easly run at full speed with 2nd thought of my arrows droping or trying to reach over my back for an arrow. ^_^ go check out my videos on youtube.com/menglo87 remember to subscribe now thank you!

Exactly what I needed for crossbow bolts.......
Holds 8 - 20” crossbow bolts with broad heads with no problem. I found the upper rubber retainer needed no modification to hold the bolts which are 11/32” diameter. Very pleased with this as I could find no other quiver to meet this need. Construction seems to be quality, The straps, when adjusted, have tails which I tied down with electrical tape.

It's nice
I'm over weight but the strap will not fit me. Not the fault out the quiver but that's a dying in my book!
