4-1/4" X 5.5" Adhesive Backed Genuine Leather PAD All Purpose - Padded - Soft - Protective

I was looking for something to pad the contact points on my Predator XL saddle stand, but it would have to be something tougher than mole skin. I prepped the area with alcohol first. Very good adhesion and it is exactly what I was hoping it would be. Now I’m looking for a use for the rest of it.

These sticky backed leather pieces are very nice to add some cushion and grip to a hiking stick. They could also be used on a variety of tools with handles that would fit better if they were just a little bigger and grippier. The cushion effect on something that delivers some shock back to the hand is nice too. Such as a machete or an axe. Then too if you want something to just look a bit classier it does that as well. The biggest trick is to get the edges to meet real smooth and not come up short if you are using it to cover an irregularly shaped item. Take your time, measure twice and cut once. So far the two pieces I've used have remained secure. Clean the surface you wish to attach the leather to very carefully!

I found the padded backing to be rather thick. I would have preferred, simply, a piece of leather with adhesive backing. Don't see the need for the padding. I was trying to wrap this onto a camera grip but the padding was so thick that the grip wouldn't fit up against the camera with it attached.I ended up peeling all the padding off and there was some adhesive left from the manufacturer adhering the padding to the leather. This certainly wasn't any easy job though. Although, if i had to do it again, I would likely still buy these since there isn't much in the way of other options unless you buy a much bigger piece.

Worked well to wrap the handle and replace the shelf and riser leathers on a traditional long bow. No hassling with trying to get the glue where it belongs rather than all over me and the bow.

great adhesive and it was extremely easy to trip and apply onto an otherwise, bare wood grip on a 50# traditional longbow.

Easy to use for leather repair and has a nice texture - applies firmly.

Was just what I ordered worked out great.
