Very nice
Nice lightweight athletic pants. Only drawback is that the material pick up every single hair and fiber it touches.

Light weight, comfortable and water resistant
I bought these for camping. Here in Alaska it rains a lot so I needed water repellent pants that were light weight for those rainy yet warm/humid camping days and for the times spent walking the dogs through wet brush. These are great! They are true to size and we’re so effective in keeping me dry. For reference I’m 5’10’ and weigh 240 and the size 18 fit perfectly. I like that I can unzip the bottom portion of the pants off and convert them to shorts when desired. They wash and wear well. I would highly recommend these pants.

Great hiking pants
I bought these for a hiking trip and they were wonderful—I ended up wearing them most of the trip. They were perfect for cold mornings and hot afternoon sun. They did not get smelly on hot days. They kept me dry on a rainy day.

I would LIVE in these pants if I could!!!!
I adore these pants!!!! Nothing negative to say. I'd give them more stars if I could!I love hiking and taking long walks through country fields and woods with my dog. I was looking for something cool enough to wear in the summer, yet still comfortable for weather in the upper 40s-lower 50s, is water resistant, is comfortable to move around in, is quick drying, provides some protection against sun, brush, and bugs, is wrinkle resistant, has functional pockets, is compact in a suitcase or backpack, and attractive enough to wear into town if hiking sight seeing, shopping and/or eating out are all on the schedule for the day. That's a lot to ask, yet these pants fulfilled every quality on my list! Not only that, they fit me better than any other pants I own, and they are exceptionally comfortable.I wear typically wear a jeans size of 7 or 9 in junior sizes, and an 8 in ladies. I ordered the 10 regular and they fit perfectly. They are slim fitting but not tight, and the length is perfect when wearing shoes (a teensy bit long if barefoot or in thin flip flops.) There is plenty of stretch, so you can walk, run, sit, bend, squat, stretch, climb, or crawl (I've done all) with comfort and ease and without worry that they will split a seam! :)A few reviewers mentioned that they are too tight around the convertible shorts zipper around the thigh. I agree this is the most snug part of the pants, especially when you squat or climbhowever for me it is not at all too tight or uncomfortable. As for the convertible aspect, I was worried the pants would look tacky or that they would be too much of a hassle to use, but I was wrong in both counts. The zipper is very discrete, and they easily zip on and off in seconds. I've even done this on the trail while wearing shoes! The shorts fall about 3 inches above my knees, which is my ideal length for shorts. One detail I love is that the zippers on the pant legs are labeled with an "L" and "R" so you know which leg to put them on. The legs could be fit into the front pants pockets, if you aren't carrying a backpack. These pants are excellent for travel. They are light as can be and take up very little space in your luggage/backpack. I've washed them in the sink and hung them to dry overnight with no problem. They did get a little wrinkled, but the wrinkles fell out after wearing the pants for a short time. While not water proof, these pants are water resistant. I've been caught in a light rain or dribbled water into them, and I've stayed dry. If they are submerged or in a heavy rain, you will get wet. The nice thing is they dry very quickly. I had a water bottle tip over in the car and my bottom was completely soaked- absolutely dripping wet. It was sunny, a bit breezy, and fairly hot that day, and the pants dried completely within 20 minutes of walking around outside. They are true to the stain resistant claim as well. In addition to dirt, mud, and grass, I've subjected these poor pants to spilt coffee and ketchup. The fabric kind of repelled the spilt liquid. What little did soak in came right out with merely a damp napkin!I ordered the "grill" color. It is a medium light grey, with a bit of a beige tinge. It goes great with everything, including both black and brown tones. It's dark enough that it's not at all see-through.

Excellent, but size up
I like everything about these pants. I’m 5’5”, 131 lbs and athletic build. I have two older pair of Saturday pants in size 6 which are a perfect fit, but after reading the reviews on these purchased size 8 and they’re also perfect fit in waist, hips, thighs and length. I like the length of the shorts when the bottom is zipped off. Same stretch as my old Saturday pants and maybe a tiny bit more weight to the fabric, which I like, and sit slightly below natural waist. The zippers are smooth and the zipper is faced so it doesn’t rub skin. I bought these so I can pack light for a trip to Alaska and multi-purpose my wardrobe. I would buy these again.

comfy but have some downsides
i bought these pants for work. i live in florida and needed something that could get wet and dry fast and wasn’t heavy or thick. these were perfect! they’re light weight and have a good stretch that make them comfortable and breathable. unfortunately that’s all i can say becasue this is where i have my issues with these.i got 3 max wears out of these pants before the zipper broke on me. of all things i would have expected the snap closure, but it was the zipper. i’m pretty disappointed in that regard. another thing to note is the zipper seam on the legs can be uncomfortable and makes it hard to bend over or squat, so i’ll probably just get the zipper less version of these pants, which sucks because i liked that they were convertible, but if you have bigger thighs like me it probably just won’t work unless you size up all the way, and it’s not worth it since the pants fit perfect everywhere else.these pants could have been perfect but i’m disappointed that they broke so quickly, especially from a nicer brand like columbia. i didn’t pay 70$ for pants that i could wear 3 times and have the zipper break on me.

They are lightweight but don’t stand up well to wear and tear as well as others
These are comfortable, lightweight and work well for light to moderate hiking. However, I bought these with the hope that they could withstand field research work in tall grass prairies and they have not held up super well compared to other off brand hiking and non-hiking pants I have purchased.

Flattering and comfortable, except when sitting!
They surprisingly fit close to perfectly even though I never typically wear this size (10R Aka UK 14). Really flattering too. Great length for me (5’6”) That was until I sat down and realised the reviews mentioning the zip tightness weren’t joking. Not very pleasant. I have pretty tanky muscly legs mind (21” at zip area) A bit of a shame as losing weight may make the zip more comfortable, at the expense of fit elsewhere. Will still be keeping them however!

Long enough
I normally wear a size 12 with a 33" inseam. I ordered both the Anytime Outdoor Boot Cut Pant and also the Saturday Trail II convertible pants, both size 12 regular. Both pants fit me well through the body and legs. However, the inseam of the boot cut pants is 31.5" - too short, and the inseam of the Sat. Trail II pants is an inch longer, which is just long enough for me. Also, the boot cut flares out more than boot cut jeans that I'm used to: not a good look for me. I'm returning the boot cut pants.

Great!!!!!
Love the fabric and colour selection! Some of the reviews are inaccurate. If you get convertable pants that are tight fitted when you stand, it will obviously not fit when you sit as zippers do no stretch. Get a size up. These pants are not meant to be skin tight. I went a size up to ensure they are comfortable when I sit. They aren't overly baggy but eventually the waist will stretch out after wearing it, but belts fix that! Once it's washed the waist does go back. These will be my forever hiking pants!

Perfect for hiking
Love these pants. Love how easy they are to zip back on as the zippers are labelled R and L. They stretch so buy them a bit snug.

Thigh zips are too narrow
These would be perfect if the zips around the thigh were a bit more forgiving. I wear an 8-10. I went for a 10 in these pants. The thigh zips are noticeably tight, restricting movement. I am not a person with especially large thighs, which makes me wonder who is supposed to be able to wear these. The fabric is nice and stretchy. The pockets are great. The waistline is comfortable.Unfortunately I won’t be able to wear them.
