Better than the rest
This system is not perfect, but its pretty darn good, and I believe it works better than anything else out there. This is a true internet-based tank level sensor with the ability to observe tank level from an internet-connected browser anywhere in the world. From the perspective of the ability to observe water level from anywhere in the world, its top-notch.Its also fairly easy to set up. There are both wifi and PoE-based versions of this device. The wifi version is going to be easier to install, but then there is battery maintenance, and the wifi version updates the tank level only once very 30 minutes. The PoE-based version requires running an ethernet cable from your network to the box, but the advantage is that batteries never need to be replaced, and the tank level is updated once every 5 minutes. The PoE version uses a non-standard PoE power spec and has its own PoE injector. It is not compatible with standard PoE. For most people, this is a good thing because there is no need to buy a PoE switch or injector. The PT Level has a simplistic linear calibration feature, so it will not provide an accurate measure of tank liquid volume for non-uniform tank shapes such as horizontal tanks. For vertically oriented cylindrical or rectangular tanks, its pretty good in this regard. The other short coming in the calibration feature is a lack of built-in ability to factor in lowest water level that is possible in the tank. The bottom 3 inches of my tank will always have water in it. I found a way to easily factor this into the calibration and explained it to Paremtech, so hopefully they will adopt it.Bottom line is that so far this device provides exactly what I wanted at a very reasonable price. I don't think there is anything that can match this feature set at even 5x the price.

A difference maker
This product has really taken the hassle out of keeping tabs on my water level. It's easy to use, and once I got it set up (which was quite quick), it made an immediate difference. I started to save money on water deliveries within the first month. I've been running this product in my cistern for a while now and haven't had any issues with it. The automatic updates are handy too, and make it super easy to manage my cistern. The product itself is small, and stays out of the way. Set up can be done by yourself (I'm moderately handy, and had no issues with install). The website is also straight forward when you get it loaded up on your mobile device (how I've set it up). Hard to believe I've been measuring my water the old way. I'd recommend this product to anyone. Great product and surpassed my expectations.
