Only received 1 bottle, not a pack of 12
Product is great! Hopefully it was a mix up that I only received 1 bottle instead of a pack of 12 because $15 isn’t worth the small bottle that I received. I submitted my return request.

Great!
I bought this for my mom because she got COVID and she’s older so can’t take too much different kinds of medicine. It DOES NOT cure covid at but it’s a natural boost the immune system. She also had a mild case so I think that’s why she felt better. I also took this before covid times when I was sick and it helped.

Dad said it helped.
Bought this for my parents to hopefully keep their immune systems supported through this epidemic. My dad took it while he was battling a cold and said it made him feel better. I'm going to keep buying it until they say it's not helping. Jehovah bless you all through this pandemic.

Ordered 2 boxes and they sent me ones that will expire in two months. 🤦♀️🤦♀️
We use this product when we start to feel under the weather. And the two boxes they sent me are going to expire in two months. Emailed manufacturer and hopeful that they will send me two more that will have a longer shelf life.

▪️Some Immune Support Ingredients, Some Unproven▪️High Sugar▪️Warning If Autoimmune/Allergy Issues
This Nature’s Way Sambucus Elderberry Immune Syrup comes in single dose liquid shots of Sambucus elderberry extract (200 mg), echinacea (amount unclear), propolis (956 mg), vitamin C (200 mg) and zinc gluconate (20 mg). Each shot has 10g of added sugar (2.5 tsp or 20% RDA) and 60 calories. The package states this isn’t recommended for those with autoimmune disease and also has a cautionary warning for those allergic to the Asteraceae (Compositae) family, including ragweed.Echinacea is in the Asteraceae (Compositae) family and cross-reactivity between pollen and food allergies can trigger symptoms of asthma, hay fever, eczema and/or anaphylaxis. Echinacea has been linked to serious allergic reactions and side effects, per Livestrong. Web MD also says: “Don't take echinacea if you have an auto-immune disorder.” Propolis is also a potential allergen, especially for those with bee allergies. The effectiveness of echinacea and propolis for immune support hasn’t been established, per Livestrong and Web MD, respectively. As to elderberry, Web MD states it’s “possibly unsafe” for those with HIV and autoimmune diseases (e.g., lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, MS) and may decrease effectiveness of medications, such as corticosteroids. It’s effectiveness is unclear, but Web MD concludes it’s “possibly effective ” for treating flu and reducing duration and symptoms of a cold. Per Sloan Kettering, only small studies suggest elderberry may reduce cold and flu symptoms and possibly prevent infection and more studies are needed. Appropriate doses haven’t been established.Zinc and Vitamin C do provide immune support. Per Livestrong, zinc deficiency affects immune health and makes it harder for the body to fight off viruses. Inadequate zinc “is linked to getting more infectious diseases of upper and lower respiratory tract” and zinc supplementation may have a protective effect “through reducing lung inflammation and helping to clear out the lungs.” Studies have also shown zinc can decrease the duration and severity of a cold. But too much zinc supplementation may be harmful. The RDA for over age 19 is 8 mg for women and 11 mg for men. The “tolerable upper intake level is 40 milligrams for both adult men and women” per Livestrong. This Nature’s Way supplement of 20 mg is about double the RDA for men, but it’s well within the toxicity limits. Still, it’s unclear if it’s appropriate or beneficial in this higher dose for those not deficient or with certain medical conditions. This Nature’s Way supplement may provide immune support from Vitamin C, zinc and elderberry syrup (but unclear as to efficacy or dose). But there’s inadequate evidence of immune support from echinacea and propolis. I’ve taken elderberry without issues, but feel I can’t take this without physician approval primarily due to the echinacea as I’m highly allergic to ragweed and don’t even know how much is in this syrup. It’s too bad it’s even in this syrup given that it’s not even established as supporting immune health but so many have ragweed allergy. I did taste a tiny bit, and this syrup has a pleasant sweet, tangy and fruity flavor. While I can’t know the purity of any supplement, I generally like the Nature’s Way brand. This seems risky for those with autoimmune disease or common ragweed or related allergies. For others, it may provide some needed immune support (especially if zinc deficient) as Vitamin C, zinc and elderberry may support immune health. I’m unaware of evidence that propolis and echinacea provide immune support, yet they are potential allergens and my personal opinion is this syrup would be better without them. Dosing seems reasonable but there aren’t clear dosing guidelines, except for Vitamin C and zinc. This tastes fine but has a lot of sugar. It’s best to consult a doctor before use. 3 Stars.
