In His Presence Paperback – March 1, 1989

I bought this one a year ago and life got busy and I didn't read it until recently, but it's amazing how God can put something in your life exactly at the right time if you're seeking His answers with all of your heart! This book built new heights on something He was showing me recently in my walk with Him, and I have been slowly reading and absorbing this book along with the Word for a few weeks. If you do and your meditate on what you're reading and talk to God about it, it's truths will absolutely change your life! Kenyon was born about the time the Civil War closed and died in the late 1940s, so you might ask how relevant a writer from this time might be. The book is timeless and a so timely. Things haven't changed much in the Church since Kenyon penned this book (sadly). This is very much a book about taking the Word of God and being a DOER of what God says He has already given us and will give us when we ask. Kenyon always uses loads of scripture to make his case and it's worth going slowly and studying this out and thinking about it. You learn so much about your identity in Jesus and what that really means in a legal sense to God and what He's provided to you because of what Jesus paid for to give us. It's not just our salvation as so many of my brothers and sisters in Christ think (and I too thought some years before). This book takes you into a deeper understanding of the heart of the Father and how He thinks about you. It talks about that glorious fellowship with the Father that far too many of us have been missing out on. We learn about the boldness we can have to come into His presence and enjoy that fellowship without fear and condemnation. This book will show you all the glorious things you've probably been doing without that He's provided just because we don't understand who we are when we're born again. We're not supposed to be in survival mode here on Earth just waiting for that glorious day when we get to Heaven. Yes, that will be awesome, but we are supposed to be in "more than a conqueror" mode, walking in His power and His provision every day! This book will challenge you in the most marvelous way to really consider more fully what the Word of His Promise is giving you personally if you'll step out onto it and believe it. I'm becoming more of a DOER even as I read this book and I'm seeing glorious change happening in my life! I expect that things will become more and more victorious as I continue to walk in faith with His Word, making it my new confession! This is not about just saying things you don't believe like they're magic words or doing things by works trying to get God to do something for you. This is realizing your place as His own child and the sonship rights you have as He has given us all He has through Christ Jesus. Kenyon shows you what legally happened when Jesus died on that cross and took our sins, sicknesses, the chastisement for our peace, poverty, etc to the pit of hell, and then rose again alive, triumphing over the Adversary and taking back what Satan had stolen in Adam's treasonous act. Kenyon shows you your place with Christ in all of this and where you stand now in the authority of His Name. This book is nothing short of life changing and you realize it was all there in the Word in front of us all the time, but God uses Kenyon's teaching to illuminate some things that far too many of us have missed because we've relied more on our sense knowledge than on what God has said and promised to us. I can't recommend the book highly enough! I also love F.F. Bosworth's "Christ, The Healer" for those of you that loved this book. Bosworth is another contemporary of Kenyon's time and they both have written some of the most impactful books that I've found in my Christian walk. I'm going to love to meet these two gentlemen one day when we're all in Heaven and thank them for helping me to grow so much in my relationship with God!

It builds up your faith

I have read and reread this book several times and am currently reading it again. E. W. Kinyon really gets across the message of the authority of the believer, which Christ purchased for us on the cross.

Awesome book! I bought every book by this author because they are infused with scripture and it's understanding. God delights in"daily loading us with His benefits" on those who qualify. Kenyon will tell you how God supernaturally qualifies you. That knowledge is essential to knowing how to "receive from God", I find most Bible believers still don't understand how to form "the connect" with God's promised blessings." God hastens to perform His Word" when "the connect" is formed. The power to fulfill every Word He has spoken, is hidden in the words themselves. Every need we will ever have is already "seeded" into the spirit of Believers and is just waiting for us to knowledgeably form "the God-gifted faith connect." Kenyon reveals all of this in his book "In His Presence". Don't miss it of you care about receiving God's supernaturally gifted benefits. This is a God-anointed book.

Very thought provoking and inspiring. Takes you to new levels of growth and understanding in your personal relationship with Christ.

The principals in this book will change your relationship with God and will ignite your prayer life. Don’t read it quickly but as you meditate on the truths contained, the Holy Spirit will unveil a deeper intimacy with God.

Kenyon sees Christ as seated on the Throne of David, not an infant in a manger, not a figure on the Cross, not a resurrected good man, but the Divine Son of God, seated in authority at the right hand of God as the Zeal of the Lord makes His enemies his footstool. Kenyon also demands that Christians think. If you do not want to THINK, I recommend that you avoid him and take an easier route. He will challenge you to read your Bible and DO what it says. E.W. Kenyon helped train Kenneth E. Hagin [according to Hagin], whose ministry influenced Kenneth and Gloria Copeland. In my opinion, Kenyon's writing is not for insincere faith.

Christianity or church is not a Sunday club; an alternative to some other activity, like walking or golf. Christianity is a relationship it changes the individual as only God can. This book is about that personal relationship that is a gift to all who accept Jesus as Lord.

Mr Kenyon sets out to tell you how God really sees you and what power and gifts he has given you. This little book needs to be read, studied and re-read until you are fully aware of what being a child of God (a Christian) means for you personally.

Sound teachings, this is a must for a anyone ready to walk in the truth of finished work of Christ
