Informative
The book is good read and really informative. Has me interested while still questioning being relative to Scripture in all cases. Worth reading if interested in getting a grasp on healing and deliverance. Widened my perspective and observation of people.

understand the dynamics of the spirit realm and how it affects mankind
this book is very comprehensive in it's dealings with and exposure of the dark side, the spirit realm. i challenge everyone, christian or non-christian to read this book with an open mind and see if it is logical and makes sense. i believe this book will usher the reader into a paradigm shift of their thinking. there is more to reality than what we see and recognize in our 3-dimensional tangible world. there are unseen forces in motion, both good and bad. there is a war going on for our souls and most of us miss it. we are but mere victims being tossed to and fro on this sea of life. the battlefield is the mind. you cannot see the wind but you can see the effects. once you understand the principles you can begin to see the reality of what you cannot see. i have been delivered from spirits, first of suicide and then depression. no one knew my battle but it was my life. day in and day out. i saw no way out. i had planned to take my wife and then myself. countless hours, weeks, months were wasted planning the destruction of the two of us. but praise god for leading us to a deliverance church here in fayetteville, nc where the pastor taught on deliverance and then ministered deliverance in a closed-door 'counseling' session. the spirits manifested and, like with the wind, though you could not see the spirits, you could see the effects as they took me over. deliverance was powerful and i was set free. this book was one of the first reference books i found to give me more information on what had just transpired and saved my life, and my wife's life. deliverance is needed everywhere and i predict it will be coming into prominence in the near future. i encourage everyone, but especially those who have ever wondered 'is there more?' 'is there something that i am missing?' to get this book and see if it fits their perception of reality. there are new and bigger horizons out there. this book will pave the road and point the way. it is time for that paradigm shift.

Good Book that Covers all the Bases
The book was divided into three sections. The first section was the Biblical background for the demonic and evil spirits. The second section dealt with the different types of spirits and how they effect us. The last section dealt with the procedures for freeing people. The author seems evil spirits in a lot of the New Testament Scriptures. I am not sure if I totally agree with all his understanding. I do agree that with Jesus (God) walking on the earth that the demonic forces would be out to stop Him at any cost. It would be challenging to refute the author's work since he has verified mostly everything through the experiences of his ministry. There were a few parts in his book which I disagreed with. He does not offer you a clear set of steps to follow that will work for everyone. The Holy Spirit has to be your guide, because everyone is different.

Very interesting!!
I'm half way through this book and it is possibly the best book on deliverance I've read to date. It explains many aspects of deliverance, gives scriptures to back up claims and examples of events that happened in the author's own life while preaching and ministering deliverance. He touches on many points that explain how we are affected by the demonic, where they come from, what they are according to scripture and how we open ourselves up to evil spirits. This is a great read and I would highly recommend it to church leaders and/or any one who is interested in ministry or for spiritual enrichment and growth!

A Textbook
This is a great textbook or reference guide on the subject matter. Clearly, the author is very experienced, as he has been operating an inner healing and deliverance ministry for many years. This is a great book if you are new to deliverance and I see it being an excellent reference text for a quick look-up in the future.

Exceptionally Well Written
There was a kind of magnetic attraction to the reality of this book that amazed me. This has been an area that I tried to avoid by keeping to the straight and narrow. However, the love that weaves its way through the pages of this book brought me closer to truths and understanding of my calling in the Kingdom of God. This was right through even the appendices. Depending on one’s openness to teaching, one is able to have immediate healing benefits. The author is truly a compassionate teacher. Brilliant.

Spoiled by some crazy extremism.
It's extremely difficult to find something 'balanced' on this controversial subject. At one end of the scale, there are books like Exorcism: The Removal of Evil Influences , which have more to do with new-age and occult practices than biblical revelation (though wearing a cloak of Christianity). At the other end of the scale there are books like this one, which takes a super-extremist charismatic view of the subject, and sees demons lurking in every corner and under every rock. Have you ever listened to Rock music? It may have given you a demon. Ever looked at a smutty picture? It may have given you a demon. Ever seen anything that disturbed you, even on the TV news? It may have given you a demon. Ever involved in martial arts? Yep, you got demons. Any rotten apples in your family tree? You may have inherited their demons. Oh, and are you a vegetarian? Then... well, you get the picture...(Not to mention that if you are a bit too fond of chocolate, have a sweet tooth, enjoy escapist movies or novels, or if anyone has ever said anything hurtful to you, then you may be demonised or at least cursed)Do you DISAGREE with any of that? Oh Dear. That suggests that you have a demon, even if you're a Christian.... according to THIS book, anyway. In fact, it means you've 'sinned against the Holy Spirit' and lost all your hope of Salvation. According to this book.I find this mind-blowingly unbiblical, not to say deeply offensive. I have no doubt that the author would regard me as having legions of demons. All in all, this book gives the impression that you have far more chance of being demon-possessed than you have of catching a cold. There's a lot of Bible exegesis, but all too often (IMO) the interpretation is skewed (I'm tempted to say 'perverted') to back up the author's various preconceptions. You'll find that various parables and Bible passages that historically the church has NOT regarded as being teaching on deliverance or demons ARE (according to this book) in fact... actually all about demons. Surprise surprise.I've been trying to read most of what's currently available on this subject, and in its own way this book is almost as bad as the new-age pseudo-Christian book mentioned at the start of this review. Unless you know your Bible very, very well and have the spiritual discernment to be able to pluck the few grains of truth out of the haystack of chaff, you'd be well advised to leave this book well alone. For a more balanced view I'd recommend either ignoring this book totally (my preferred recommendation) or reading it in conjunction with a saner approach, say, something like Deliverance: (SPCK Classics)Exorcism: The Removal of Evil InfluencesDeliverance: (SPCK Classics)
