My iPad mini (covers iOS 7) (My...)

I absolutely love my new iPad mini! It is easy to view and the keyboard is fun to use. I love the 'cloud', it made sharing apps between my computer, iPod and iPad wonderfully easy. For me the size is perfect.I'm an artist and like to take pictures of my work as it progresses, the camera on the iPad mini is just great! I am really enjoying using it.

I got this to help my wife transition to the IPad world. It has been helpful to us several times when setting up IPad options or trying to understand how to install and use apps.The book is well written with easy to understand directions and excellent graphics. This one includes info on the latest IOS version just released around the end of the year.

This book has lots of good information but stops short when it comes to providing any kind of in-depth information about most subjects. For example, a picture of the Apple logo appears when the iPad Mini is turned on after a complete shutdown. The logo does not disappear for 30 seconds to a minute, but the user may think the tablet is not working correctly because it does not show the home page. The book just tells you to press the button to turn on the pad. Another example is setting up messaging. It tells the user how to set it up on the iPad but does not give any indication how the iPhone is to be set up tp receive messages.

At three times the size, this book has much more information for users, especially new users like myself, than Apples "Guide". For most of my questions, I can find the information I need quickly, rather than spending hours trying to find the same thing on the Internet, or polling my friends until I find the answer.It hasn't answered every question I've had, but those questions covered unusual situations, and even lots of searching hasn't answered some of them, but it's why I gave only 4 stars.

I have not read it from cover to cover yet but I am pecking my way through it. It has helped me (I am a novice to ipad) to work through some of my very basic questions and applications. From what I see in the book, it is written very well and the applications can be understood by most of us.

If you have questions on what the IPAD mini can do, you need this book. The information is all available on line but if you are from the old school like me, you need to use a text book to find your answers.

My friend lent me his iPad for Dummies book. I decided to buy my own and this book is very well done. It is well indexed and covers just about anything I can ask. Well worth the money.

This a very functional great product. It is extremely easy to use and install. It protects your screen and allows you to stand it up for different functions. We are very happy with the quality and ease of use.

As a historical user of outlook, word, internet explorer & excel this book is an easy guide to the set up of your iPad mini retina model and learning a new way of working for mail, pages, safari and numbers. If you prefer a hard book to online help to get you started from basics to more advanced this is the one to buy as the pictures and guides are simple to follow.

I like this book as it helped me with problems with the iPad mini mainly as the result of having spent all my computing on Windows and had to adapt my thinking to the Mac OS. Easy to follow guide and handy size to have at hand. This book comes from a series of help books and I would recommend it to anyone looking for something simple to follow.

A good book that could be even better and reach a wider older audience if only the font sae was larger even at a higher price. The use of colour in this book saves the day. In black and white I would give it only one star however.

I give this user guide 5 stars because it is excellently written. As manuals go it is the clearest one I have ever read. So easy to follow. I taught myself the basics when I got my IPad Mini but have learnt so much more from this book. I would recommend it to any new iPad user - there will always be something to learn from this guide.
