Frame construction is solid; goes together quickly and very straightforward. The powder coat finish on the frame also seems quality (few scuffs, but not bad). Net construction is also good.However, the "opening" for the net is at the wrong end. After assembly of the frame, the net is supposed to slide over the top and pull down to the bottom, where it can be secured (you can see this in the listing pictures...the bungee secures are at the bottom). The instructions also indicated that it is supposed to pulled down from the top and secured at the bottom. However, the net that was delivered has the opening at the top, meaning it has to be pulled up from the bottom and secured at the top. It took a while to figure this out--kept pulling over the top but it wouldn't come down correctly and was bunched up around the "Z" bend. After realizing the net was constructed incorrectly, I disassembled the *bottom* (bottom tube + feet) and fed the net up from the bottom. Once it was on the frame, I was able to feed the bottom tube thru the closed end of the netting and then carefully put the feet back on. The bungees were then attached at the top. It fits perfectly in this manner. Basically, the manufacturer has opened the wrong end of the net.Now that it's together, the whole assembly works fine (hence the three stars). It's 20% cheaper than the next closest "Z" net--so if price is important, this screen works great. Just remember the netting is "upside down" (hopefully the manufacturer fixes this problem in the future).

This is one of these products which look better in pictures than in person. The assembly was fairly easy. The hardest part is fitting and tightening the net. I used some of my own additional zip ties and elastic ties to stretch the netting. It still hangs a little loose. When I am using the screen, I find myself keeping back more than a foot, in order to avoid being hit through the net. I don't like that at all. I also don't like the lack of padding on the metal parts, which causes some nasty ball deflections and loud dings. When you have a batted ball coming at full speed and it ricochets from the frame, a lot of times I can't see where the ball goes, which is scary because sometimes it goes straight up and comes down with force. I wish I purchased a sturdier, padded product, with a tighter net. This one gets the job done, but barely. Not happy with my purchase.

I ordered this two months ago because the net did not fit. I called the company directly, they were very nice, but instead of sending me a net they recommended I just return the net to Amazon and buy another. So I did just that. Guess what happened. The new net came in same problem. I’ve been using netted equipment with baseball and softball for almost a decade and this net does not fit. I decided to keep and order a net and make it work. If the net would fit it’d be great.

I need to get a hold of of manufacturer of the product. The net does not fit right. Great design but net not working.
