When Lightning Strikes: A Novel

Parts of this book dragged but overall, it wasn't a bad read. I think it could have moved faster or added more details to keep the interest up.

This is another earlier novel by the prolific Kristin Hannah. Even though Kristin Hannah books are clearly aimed at a particular female audience; nevertheless, I actually enjoyed this novel for its unique approach because it reads a little like a time travel story. The theme in this book (When Lightning Strikes by Kristin Hannah) is about Alaina Costanza, who is a writer who gets caught up in one of her novels, as if she time traveled to a fantasy western world book she is working on.I never give away too much information when reviewing any novel because I never want to spoil it for anyone who is thinking of reading the book. I enjoyed reading this strange and unique story. If you are a fan of Kristin Hannah this is a novel, you will enjoy reading.Rating: 4 Stars. Joseph J. It’s Kristen Hannah at her best. The book has every aspect Joy, Romance, Comedy, and a little bit of fairytale. I absolutely Love it.

Another great book, that's hard to put down at times, that takes a leap in time only to return for the better later. A touch of the old west mixed with some magic and romance. Only the 2nd book I've read out of 18 of Kristin's books that has a little fantasy in it; but a good read to the last page!

I love Kristin Hannah's writing so recently started reading her earlier work. The style is a bit different than her contemporary work, but classic, with unexpected twists and precious moments. This specific book took me a few chapters to get in to it, but then it was well worth it. Loved the "other worldness" of it because it made it different and unexpected. I don't believe in reincarnation, but it is fun to think about.

Kristen has written better. This book is repetitive. Love her books, this one not her best.

Not up to standard but true colours was the first book i read from this author, and could not put it down.Home front was another of her best, aaaalong with magic hour.
