Perfect for writing Papers

I'll make this quick: I write (commercially) for a living. I'm often looking for another word so I don't get/sound repetitive. OR a better word meaning the same thing.It's the writing "game." This is better than a dictionary. I already know how to spell.This is the THIRD one I've bought! I have the 2nd and 3rd editions. The 2nd edition is shopworn. The 3rd edition on its way to being shopworn. I use em all the time. One at home; one at work.Hands down, if you're serious about writing and/or word usage, this is THE BIBLE! Er, absolutely best on the market.

This book does not contain the word "overdrawn."

I've used this Thesaurus almost every day since I purchased it. I got a smokin' deal (barely used) from one of Amazon's partners.I needed to replace an old Roget's from my high school days as it was being held up by a rubber band. This one has additional features which I frankly haven't used yet. But for a basic word tool, I have no complaints or issues with how this one is laid out. I love my Thesaurus!

I LOVE THE BOOK, WITH ME FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY AND MY VOCABULARY NOT THE GREATEST THIS BOOK REALLY HELPS ME OUT. I HAD A SMALL VOCABULARY/THESAURUS BOOK WITH FEW WORDS BUT THE LETTERS WERE SOOO SMALL I HAD TO GET A MAGNIFYER TO READ IT.

I started back to school last year and UVA is a writing intensive university. With all the papers I write I really needed a good thesaurus. This super thesaurus makes everything so much easier when working on my papers.

Essentially this is an American Thesaurus It misses out huge numbers of ordinary words used in UK English. It also only gives the US English usage of words. As a simple example it does not have the word ARSE (the English spelling) but it does have the word ASS the (American spelling) Very disappointing not up to the Title on the front "Super"

I liked this thesaurus to start with, but the more I use it the more I realise that it was constructed for the American market.It is amazing how many English words that they do not use.

This thesaurus is the best I've ever had. It's a great help for writing, but sometimes, it's just fun to look up random words. The best part is the Word Find which has related words and phrases.
