Toe box accommodates bunions. The perfect shade of red.
Unlike many people, apparently, I have never had a shoe that I could wear comfortably right out of the box. Until now. The shoes look great (though I wish the heel formed more of a right angle with the sole, but that's not a big deal). They are very comfortable, even with crazy hard-to-fit feet like mine. Some reviewers have complained about the velcro strap but it is not a problem for me (at least so far). The shoes look great with pants and jeans and I think they'll be good, too, with tights and a skirt as the weather cools down. I got the red ones partly because they were the least expensive and partly because I love red. The red is a perfect shade-- not browish or orangey--and not bright. You won't look like Dorothy, hoping to get back to Kansas.I have other colors in my save-for-later shopping cart, just hoping that the price comes down.On the other hand, it's worth paying more for shoes that you can wear without pain.

NOT Worth the Money!
At first the shoes seemed great! I purchased the Whiskey color. Shoes were comfy, not as much arch support as I like, and super cute with skinny jeans, ankle slacks, or skirt/dress. After the first day of wearing they were scuffed, maybe from my office chair? So now after the first week they look awful! After two weeks, my feet STUNK! Mind you I only wear these about 2 days a week. My feet sweat when I wear them, they'd look ridiculous if you wore socks, even the no show type. They claim there is anti foot funk in the shoe, it ins't true! My feet don't typically smell. These are WAY over priced for the quality of the shoe, I even noticed the rubber sole is parting from the "leather". Of course life gets hectic and now I cannot return them. I am completely unhappy with these. I will stick with Dansko's! They have great quality, comfort, warranty and customer service! I should have never deviated from them.

Wonderful shoes, run a tad big, red not like photo
Amazing, very comfortable shoes with nice arch support. Very cute, great if you’re on your feet a lot. And although I am a 56-year-old psychotherapist, I would’ve loved these when I was a 20-year-old waitress. Probably could never have afforded them then, however. Sizing is a little large, maybe a quarter to a half size. My feet measure 10 and 3/4, and the 10 almost fit, but I’m going with 11, which is a tad big, but better than a tad tight. The only issue I have with these is that the red color is disappointing to me, I was hoping for a rich, vibrant tone, like the photo, but in person it was washed-out looking, more like a faded brownish red. so I am sending them back and probably keeping the metallic.

My mom loves these shoes!
My mom has edema so finding comfortable shoes is a huge challenge. She wears an 8 Wide, but it’s virtually impossible to find this size in any shoe store. The. Taos Mary Jane has been the best option for her. So she settled for purchasing 1/2 size bigger just so she can get her swollen foot into the shoe. One foot is wider than the other, which means the narrower foot slips out in the extra 1/2 size shoe. When I saw this shoe on Amazon in a Wide, I wanted her to try it. Well, she loves it! She says it is very comfortable all around. The shoe is a little loose on her narrower foot, but it doesn’t slip like the pair that’s 1/2 size bigger. We are very thankful that this company recognizes that there are people who really require Wide widths. Thank you!

Too narrow, too short and too much black in front
I returned them....I have been wearing TAOS size 7 US for years, even bought another pair of TAOS sandals same time as this purchase but these shoes were too narrow and way too short for my feet. Plus the tan color has a lot of black in the front toe area which to me just detracts from the shoe, makes it looks scuffed. I was disappointed because I wanted a neutral tan closed shoed and this color seemed nice and wuld have been if only it had LESS black shadowing in the front. Not for me.

Love this shoe - perfect for wide toe box but narrow foot
This shoe is what I had been searching for! I have a very wide toe box due to severe bunions. I usually have to wear and extra wide size 10. I took a chance on a 10w with this shoe based on other reviews and they are perfect! The rest of my foot is narrow so I need to wear Mary Janes to keep shoes on my feet. These shoes felt great and looked even better. They look great with jeans and with dress pants. My inserts fit perfectly too.

I ended up returning these. They run a little ...
I ended up returning these. They run a little big, but they also didn't provide much arch support compared to the Dansko Fawna's that I purchased as well. They are certainly not uncomfortable, however, just not quite what I was looking for. They are well-made, quality shoes.

Great shoe
I tend to buy good quality shoes for two purposes (1) longevity and (2) because I have feet problems.I have had 3 foot surgeries and wear compression socks regularly. These shoes do not bother my feet or cause any pain at the end of the day. I can stand in them for long periods of time and my feet are no more worse for the wear than if I had on sneakers. In addition, I wear compression socks that vary in thickness. The thicker sock does not make the toebox and tighter. The velcro over the instep is strong.
