Practical Advice
This book gives your practical advice for dealing with conflict and provides insight into what you can do to diffuse a situation when you're in the heat of an argument. It also tells you how you can recognize your triggers to allow you to put into practice some of the suggestions to calmly assess the situation and realize when you need to shut it down and come back to it later. It provides real life examples. The most important thing I've learned is conflict is a natural occurrence and being prepared is paramount to successfully navigate relationships of all types.

Learning about the six faces of anger and ways to manage it
This book sheds light on the destructive nature of resentment, passive aggression, cold anger, etc. It gives real examples of angry encounters, conversations, and ways to mitigate unhelpful responses. I am planning to read it again and to practice a more satisfying way of interacting with friends, family, coworkers and others. I'm hopeful, while knowing it will require patience and dedication to achieve improvement.

Also gave great examples of "home situations" which occur in many households
Attended his workshop in New Orleans. Found the questionnaires in his book very helpful for my clients who would resist homework assignments. Also gave great examples of "home situations" which occur in many households. Would lead into great discussions and goal setting.
