Ettore Grip 'n Grab Multipurpose Pickup Tool Debris Nabber, 1.3" x 4" x 16", Blue

These grabbers are a very high quality product. I took mine with me to physical therapy and the therapist was very impressed with it. It was a much better product than any she was using to teach people. It is sturdy, has a full hand grip, rather than a two finger grip like others, and the flexible rubber tip can literally pick up a dime, but opens wide enough to pick up a pillow, and strong enough to pick up a book. The rotating head of the grabber is very useful to align the grabber with whatever you are trying to grab. It would be perfect if it only had one additional feature. I wish it had a lock button on the handle so that when you grabbed something you could lock the jaws shut, and then release the handle and still have it locked on. This would be very helpful when you used it for dressing like pulling up pants, etc. It is hard to reach the clothing while still holding onto the trigger. They sell a shorter version that is better for dressing, but the lock feature would still be very useful. I haven't seen the locking mechanism on any grab bar, but it would sure be useful. Otherwise, it is a very good product.

This review is for the 16" Ettore Grip and Grab tool.I am wheelchair bound. This is the perfect grabber for picking up things that I drop. It fits conveniently between between the chair arm and seat cushion. I previously used a grabber that folded in half. It was bulky & constantly falling out. This one grips solidly. Would recommend.UPDATE June 2021I've been using this tool for a year and a half. It's still plenty sturdy and I use it many times everyday. It goes with me wherever I go. The 16" length is perfect for what I need. The tips of the grabber are a slightly flexible material so I can pick up coins, screws, pens, a single sheet of paper, a 12 oz can, remote control, my dogs toys, remove clothes from my deep tub washer, remove clothes from the driver, medicine bottles, and even a pill I dropped. I am careful with the grabber and do not pick up really heavy things. NO grabber tool will last with that kind of abuse. With care, this tool will last me for many years to come. I am ordering today a longer version to use in the kitchen on my extra tall cabinet shelves.Update January 2024I have several of the longer grabbers. This 16" length is MY FAVORITE! It still works perfectly just like brand new. I wanted to purchase a couple more for the laundry room and bedroom, but I can't seem to locate the 16" on Amazon anymore. I have the longer lengths but, they seem to be (like other brands) awkward. The 16 inch length is still the perfect length for me. I did locate this at other websites so am relieved it has not been discontinued.

I have the longer version that is so useful. This shorter one is even more useful. I carry it everywhere In my Upwalker. Handy for picking up pecans in the yard, at the grocery store (I’m short) and reaching items at the back of the dryer. I use it much more often than the longer grip’n grab. Much better grip mechanism than others I’ve tried. Perfect for my situation.

I use this to help me reach small items out of my washer that I can't reach by hand. Easy to use.

My fleet of various length ETTORE grabbers are strategically located. But the "cutie" of them all is this little 16 incher. As the hip mends the grabbers are less essential but more a convenience, and this little one is that. The ONLY thing lacking is a hole to hang it on or place a lanyard through.Now if the folks at ETTORE will just work on a quality long handled toenail clipper life will be grand.

Works as expected. Not a piece of junk like so many other reachers. The short length is perfect for what I need it for. It's lightweight and easy to squeeze the handle - not stiff like other reachers usually are.

Image displayed wasn't what I received. Might of been changed since, but buyers please check the length of this product is what you are expecting... On mine, the silver rod between the handle and grabber was about 2 inches, far shorter than the image suggested.

Bought this for my vertically challenged wife. I don't get the "can you reach this for me" now. It is just the right length we looked at longer ones buy decided there would be too much downward weight on the end. My wife couldn't be happier with her new toy. Not worried about climbing and falling.
