From Far Away, Vol. 1

This was the very first manage series that I ever read and got into. Sure you could read it online, but there's nothing like having a physical book in your hand. A charming story, beautifully drawn, and a great ending.

Over the top and campy, of course, but with an alternate reality, stoic hero, and plucky heroine you really can't go wrong.

After years of reading and rereading this manga online, I am so happy to finally have a real live copy of it! I can tell it’s old which would be a given, but I can tell it was taken care of and is in good condition. Can’t wait to read!

If you want to be entertained, this unusual story in a far away u inverse will keep your mind off your troubles for sure.

If your like me, you have a horrible time trying to find manga with a good story but without craziness in it (sex, language, etc.) Look no more! This has become one of my favorite series because it is a clean, fun, action filled story that I wouldn't mind my kids one day reading. It is more like reading a young adult fiction book. Not to young for adults, not to old for preteens. Can get any better that "From Far Away"! "From Far Away" is about a young man named Izark who is destined to be the Sky Demon, a being who will host alot of destructive power. The Sky Demon is only supposed to be awakened by the Awakening. When Izark goes to destroy the Awakening before he transforms, he discovers that the Awakening is a young woman, from an alternate universe! As the young woman, Noriko, begins to adapt to a new culture and a new language, Izark and Noriko fall in love. Whats the Sky Demon to do!Again, this is a fantastic story full of action and adventure. Its rated teen for violence but it is no more violent than watching any of the new Marvel movies. You will not be disappointed!

This was a fantastic series! It was an unexpected mixture of action, comedy, scary monsters, and light hearted characters. There was even a slight undertone of romance. It was pure and sweet. I was able to feel the emotions of the characters, I was so drawn in. At the end of the series, I felt like I had the ability to go out and change the world! Would definitely recommend!

I randomly stumbled across this manga series and I am so glad I did. It’s such a good read, I highly recommend to fans of Yona of the Dawn, Red River, Fushigi Yuugi!

When I was looking for this series I was worried I would not find a copy that wasn't damaged or over priced. But when I got the book in and unwrapped it, I was very pleasantly surprised. The copy I got is an old library book, with very VERY minor damage. There is no writing on the inside and I cannot be happier. Honestly, best day of the week.

It's a great read and has a lot of hilarious moments. I definitely recommend it for anyone who is a fan of the genre, or is even looking for something new to read.I've been a fan of the series for a long time but could not find it anywhere to buy it. On a whim I decided to look on here and success!

Arrived in great condition. :) This plot line just snags you from the first couple of pages. My first encounter with this work was at a library nearly a decade ago and it stuck with me enough to make the purchase ten years later. If that's not a good story, I don't know what is. :)
