Audimute Peacemaker Isolation Pad - Soundproof Speaker Isolation Riser - Anti-Vibration Pad

I recently moved from single family house to apartment living and was tasked with decoupling some large Klipsch speakers off the flooring. Searched high and low, there are only several options which were very expensive and questionable on my end. like the very expensive butcher block types. How does a block of wood decouple, maybe i am missing something? I ended getting two 2 X 2 foot units as sold here on Amazon.The material is very heavy (good), made of recycled tires (better) and doesn't cost an arm and a leg (best). What's not to love? Maybe the manufacturer did not intend but I easily cut the units into smaller sections with a sharp box cutter which fit under the main speakers. Used the remaining peices to float the subwoofer and had enough left over to float the surround speakers.Had the sound system up pretty loud including deep sub several times now and no complaints, happy neighbors. At least I have done my part.It is rare I feel completely satisified with products these days but this company is onto something. I admire companies whose work processses are truly helping the environment and not flapping lips. Plus their product does exactly what it claims and works flawlessly. This company has a lot of class and my total respect.Got bass? Yeah but the neighbors don't know it yet?

I tried to buy this for a friend who had issues with their compact washing machine being too loud and causing vibrations. This material alone isn't the solution, since it is a bit "bouncy" and caused the washing machine to simply move around more. I could definitely see how it would dampen speaker noise, which is its exact purpose :) The quality is pretty great, although some of the rubber "sheds" a little bit on carpet if you move it around a lot. For sound absorbing from speakers, I think its a good buy!
