FiskarsPremier 8in Fashion Pinking Shears, Color Received May Vary

I used these pinking shears to cut cotton canvas for an extremely large painting. They made a clean cut and were powerful enough to handle the heavy fabric easily. I use scissors with my right hand.

I have always used this brand of scissors so I know what to expect.When I opened my package the scissors were already out of the container as if they had been used.

I needed the shears to cut squares to .are a wreath. I have gingher set but I've moved and haven't located them yet so I needed a pair quickly. It took me forever to get my squares cut as they hurt my hand so much trying to use them. Do kot recommend them at all.

Found we had to replace the 70+ year old pinking sheers my wife had inherited when her mom passed. While Amazon had several varieties, the excellent Fiskars brand was our selection. These create crisp spiked edges and are smooth to open/close when cutting a long edge.Also purchased some Hagerty silver cloth to make storage sleeves for a few large silver trays then line a couple of drawers to store sterling flatware sets. Using the Fiskars pinking sheers created a nice finished edge -- professional looking!

After reading some of the reviews, I was kinda worried I'd be stuck with a dud, but nope! I think I got lucky because mine were able to cut right out of the package. I got a green one and it cuts through layers of flat cotton pretty well.

Good pinking shears, but not as pictured. These work well to cut fabric, the kind of high-quality implement I would expect from any Fiskars product. However, these are pictured as having pink handles but the pair that I got have lime green handles. "Coastal" isn't a descriptive term, so I figured the handles would be the color in the picture, but they weren't. Not a big deal because the color doesn't affect performance, but if I had a choice, I would have bought pink-handled ones versus green-handled ones. I may have even paid a dollar or two more for pink-handled ones.

Product ok, nothing special as would expect from Fiskars. I was sent a 8"/20cm pair, NOT 9"/23cm as was stated in the ad. Seller very unhelpful and unwilling to do anything about it.
