Europet Bernina International Aquarium Decoration Root Mangrove, 17 x 11.5 x 14 cm

I ordered the mangrove root, going against my normal dislike for fake aquarium decoration. The only review gave it glowing remarks so I took the plunge - especially at the reduced price, which made it a good bargain compared with the price of most fake decorations. Received next day as promised. Opened box and I wasn't disappointed. It does look very real and is now adorning my aquarium which I have just set up. All in all, very impressed and totally delighted with my purchase.

Looks a bit cheap...

The media could not be loaded.  It did arrive broken but after a few months, i decided to salvage it if i could and using aquarium glue, it worked. Still have to be gentle with it when cleaning but looks good overall. Just be warned, they package it awfully so theres a high chance it will arrive broken.

I ordered this some time ago. Despite substantial packaging the first item delivered arrived broken; however, the suppliers replaced it so quickly that I was able to set up the tank on schedule.The ornament looks fairly natural, and attractive, when in use. The colour is too unvarying to look truly realistic, however, algae helps and dappled shade adds some variation. I would guess that the parts were made in separate moulds and then joined; that leads to darker, slightly roughened areas (two can be seen in the illustration). Those might be good places to attach a moss, especially if the piece is being used as a refuge for smaller fish.The sawed-off top mentioned in an earlier review has been replaced by the naturalistic broken snag shown in the illustration. This gives a good effect and there is no access hole in the top.However, there is a hole in the broadest part of the base; this is held clear of the substrate by the roots; fish could get inside unless the buyer blocks it. The first (broken) item gave me a chance to see that the item seems completely hollow, with a very thin shell, but with some narrow areas inside the roots.There is a wider area just beyond the hole in the base. Loaches, etc. should be able to get in and out again easily, (although the downside is that they might hole-up there to the extent that you never see them.) However, I would recommend partially blocking that hole if using the ornament with any fish large enough to be a tight fit inside any part of it, especially cave-spawning cichlids.All in all, this is a nice, useful ornament.

I had based my purchase on other reviews however upon receipt I was pretty disappointed. OK, it's not real, but judging by what other reviewers had said I was expecting something a little more realistic. Looking at it out of the box from all angles I wasn't convinced. When I asked my significant other to comment on its appearance from a distance, she knew instantly it was not real. I left it out the box for a few days and kept looking at it, turning it round looking at it from different angles. In the end I packed it up and returned it. Although I would get used to it, there would always be a niggly feeling in my head that I knew I was not entirely happy with it. Oh well.

as with all my purchases i received this item well before the estimated delivery date and this item was well packaged. the quality is excellent and realistic looking. i have seen this product at my local aquarium shop at double the price! i would say tho if you want your aquarium very dark this is not for you because it does still let some light in.would recommend this product.

I got one my self and it isn't wood it was more like a solid plastic I paid a 10a for solid plastic knock off wood

I've been disappointed with a lot of online-bought ornaments and plants for tanks recently, but this is fantastic! Just the right size for an average tank (mine is 60L) and looks realistic without colouring the water or degrading. It's cheap too at under a tenner. Recommended!

E una radice in resina non il legno. (dovrebbero descrivere meglio). Si vede e molto plasticosa nn le userò... Ne ho ordinate 2....

Come da descrizione e da fotografie, molto bello, misure adatte, forse un pochino leggerino... ma è un ottimo prodotto
