Easy to use in many spaces
This little book is super handy for ritual and liturgy. As a person who works with many faith groups in many settings, I am happy to share that this is a quick and easy "go-to" for the bits and parts that make moments of faith come alive.

Small, thick and written in grimoire style.
Not for everyone but great for reference

Beautiful, practical prayers for ritual
The gifted Mr Serith has done it again: these prayers, gently structured into lightweight, practical rituals, have the same easy, graceful flow and the same transparent depth as those in his earlier work, A Book of Pagan Prayer. For all his background in Proto Indo-European religion, Wicca, Mithraism, and other Pagan and Neo-Pagan religions--to say nothing of his background in psychology--he delivers remarkably simple and direct suggestions for our daily expression to the Gods. It's rich without being pedantic or showing off. Reading and using these prayers gives me delight and satisfaction.

Lack of index makes it difficult to use
The prayers in this book are really nice, when one can find them, but the fact that it doesn't have an index so I can quickly scan through and mark pages and wayfind is a dealbreaker.

Pagan Ritual prayer book
this book will be a nice addition to my collection. As an ordained minister in the service of all, I want to have references of all different practices so as to be prepared when asked to serve.

I love all the prayers that are in it.
I enjoy all the prayers and how they are various in nature.

Wish it was better organized
Cons: this feels less like a practical reference for praxis than a source of inspiration for your own poetry, which is grating because it so easily could've been both if prayers were organized by tradition as well as by utility. I don't like having to go through two dozen prayers to find one applicable to my praxis, if one even exists in that category. If it is intended to be a personal notebook for writing your own liturgy, as the small size suggests, why are there no spare pages to write in?While I do appreciate the diversity of traditions represented, I do feel like it stretches it a little thin in usefulness. A lot of the prayers are also very short, even down to being only one line, which feels a little underwhelming.Pros: the prayers in the book are frequently beautiful, and the deities and beings addressed are varied enough to touch on most people's praxis in some capacity. In its capacity as a source of inspiration it's a valuable resource, you can utilise many of the prayers with only a few changes to fit your own uses, and the first few dozen pages dedicated to poetic structure and the ethics of prayer are appreciated too.Overall I enjoyed it and I expect to refer to it for a long time, just not as often as I hoped.

A Guidebook for Pagans everywhere
I am glad someone has finally come up with Pagan guidebook for Ritual and Prayer, which can be used by many people of varied and different beliefs. Although the name Pagan is used generically, it covers a wide range of faiths, ideas, and beliefs, so to cater for All Pagans is a tall order. Ceisiwr has done a very good job in this respect though, no doubt there will be some who will find flaws in the variety and not catering to their own private beliefs. This book lays down some very good guidelines and gives many examples of prayer and ritual that can be developed further. For those who want hardcore western magic/k there are plenty of books to meet that need. What Ceisiwr has done is provide a wide framework for anyone of a Pagan belief to build upon and create for their own personal use.See also his other book: Book of Pagan Prayer , highly recommended. Only the first two chapters were useful
The chapters on prayer, rituals and ritual structure were the only useful parts of the book. The prayers themselves weren't beautiful at all. And after a section of rhyme and meter, most of the prayers did not follow his own rules.I ended up creating my own prayers.Very disappointed with this purchase.

Well written and deep insights for pagans
I bought the book for me to create own prayers and gain more insights about the history and rhythms. For me, this selection is perfect. It starts with an overview and a guide to create own prayers. The second chapter is a collection of prayers for several times of the year or day etc.Overall: Good book, I recommend it for everyone who wants to start with prayers or simply get some infos about it.
