As a first-time mom with very little experience with babies, I had no idea that blankets in cribs were a no-no until I became pregnant and learned that Halo sleepsacks were considered the holy grail of infant bedding. So of course I added them to my registry in every size. However, when I received the sleepsacks as gifts (both cotton and fleece) I was completely underwhelmed. I was expecting that something that is supposed to be replacing a blanket to be, well, actually like a blanket. I found the Halo sacks to be sort of pointless, particularly the cotton one. I enjoy a nice, heavy blanket on me when I sleep and expect my baby would be comforted by the same.The other sleepsacks were nothing like the many beautiful blankets I received as gifts that I was only going to be able to use during the day with supervision, and not at night when they were really needed.My baby's room is the coldest in the house, probably due to broken seals in the window. So it was important that we found something to keep her warm. This bag came up in my searches and I figured I would give it a try. When it came I was pleasantly surprised. It was actually thick and fluffy like a real blanket.My baby's room is usually around 66-69 degrees F at night and this keeps her warm and comfy. I put her in a terry cloth or cotton sleeper underneath. She sleeps through the night. She is 3 months old but long for her age and I ordered the medium. It fits perfectly on her upper body, there is no way it can ride up and cover her face. The length is very long but I think that is great because she can grow into it. And blankets are supposed to be oversized - so this just seems natural to me that it is so long.The snaps are absolutely wonderful - a feature I didn't realize I needed until I had it. There have been many times that I have put her down for a nap or bedtime and didn't get her in her sleepsack beforehand. This is so convenient to not have to guide her arms through the sleeves. I can snap her up easily without waking her up.The zipper is large and easy to use. The pink butterfly pattern is very sweet. The material of the sleepsack is thick and soft. It is very high quality and well worth the price. I have washed it several times and there is no shrinkage or wear. This is a great item that I imagine will last until my daughter is old enough to use an actual blanket. I'm very happy with this purchase.UPDATE: My daughter is now 13 months old and I am back to purchase another one of these in size large. After being washed countless times, it is still in great condition (and will be saved just in case another baby ever comes along). My daughter is almost 32 inches long so she's getting too tall for the medium, although the rest of it still fits fine.I used this sleepsack most of the last year except in the heat of summer. For spring and fall I just adjusted the clothing I dressed her underneath - usually just a long-sleeved onesie. For the summer I purchased a Baby Deedee "lite" sleepsack, which turned out to be great as well.I am past the point of worrying about her sleeping with blankets, but she moves around so much when she sleeps a blanket never stays on. With this, she can be cozy and warm all night no matter how much she moves.After heavy use, I'm very impressed with the quality and functionality of this item. I was hesitant to purchase at first because of the price but I can now definitely say it is worth it.

It took us so many swaddles and sleep sacks before I accidentally discovered this brand in a second-hand resale shop. I was drawn to the duck pattern and weight of the sleep sack. What I didn’t know was the absolutely game-changing feature was the shoulder snaps! Our baby always woke up the second we struggled putting his arms into the sleep sack holes or swaddles, etc it was so frustrating! But with these sleep slacks the snaps can be opened, lay your baby down and then snap on the straps with ease - and baby never woke up! I also love the weight of the heavier sacks, I’ve even used them in summer with the AC on because they’re just a nice comfortable weight that feels like a comfy comforter. We have a few in different weights and all of them are so wonderful and our baby sleeps great in them. I wish there were more muted solid colors or neutral colors and patterns especially for boys. We keep our son’s room pretty simple and soft colors / not bright so it would be nice if his sleep sack was a more calming vibe - ut they’re still adorable and I love our bassinet cam pics with his little ducks sleep sack!

This is my 3rd Baby Deedee Sleep Nest. I discovered these with my 2nd child and far prefer them to any of the other brand sleep sacks we've used (Grobag, Halo). My daughter stopped wanting to be swaddled at a very young age and it was hard to find a sleep sack that fit her at that age. The smallest size Baby Deedee did. Now we've moved on to the next size. Reason I love them is the snaps on the shoulder - I was hesitant, I thought the snaps would come undone or be too fussy to work with, but they are genius!! They never come unsnapped unless I'm doing it, and they make it so much easier to put a squirming or sleeping baby into the sack. Plus they sacks are soft and warm and come in great patterns and colors. Highly recommend!! Note: the jersey sleep sack is softer and snugglier but does tend to look worn after many washes, the woven sack has held up quite well for repeated washes.

I got the blue whales. Very well made and soft. Feels like a thick quilt. My son is 6 months old and wears 12 month clothes so I got the large. Fits great! Will definitely be telling my friends who also have little ones.UPDATE:My son is now 8 months old and is now wearing 2t clothing... this was MONEY WELL SPENT! This is his favorite place to be at nap and bed time since he doesn't want me rocking him any more :(. Its like he cant get comfortable until he's in it. As soon as I snap it and zip it he smiles and his eyes are already closing. I know he's comfortable in it because he sleeps all night long from 8 at night until about 8 or 9 in the morning. I bought him the large when he was 6 months old... it was big but I would buy the large again. It is very durable and medium thickness. He tends to sweat when he sleeps so I started putting him in this in just his diaper. Not too hot and not too cold.... just right! Also LOVE the fact that it zips from the top down!!! Snaps aren't cheap and stay snapped. Zipper has a strip of protective cloth like clothing does so that the zipper doesn't sit directly on skin when zipped.

This is by far my favorite sleep sack we have tried. I used it for my son when he was little and was finally able to pull them out for my twins! It's so soft, and gets softer with every wash. Doesn't get pilly like my copper pearl one. Feels like an actual blanket. Easy to get baby in and out of. Easy to wash. I actually forgot how much I truly loved it until I was using our other sacks for when they were littler!! Cannot go wrong with this purchase!!

It is the only one fit my baby after I tried several blanket (over five brands) during the winter, we are happy with the purchasing, the design is really cute and shape fits the baby body perfectly, it also keep baby warm at cold night. She loves to wear it before bed.

Mi bebé ha usado estos sacos en diferentes etapas y sigo siendo su fan, están muy bien hechos, calientitos y para invierno son ideales. Los recomiendo muchísimo.

Es ideal para que mi bebé no se destape en la noche. Tiene dos botones que hacen que ponerla y quitarla sea super sencillo. Lo recomiendo mucho para bebés que se mueven y destapan por la noche.

Perfect for my 5 months old. The zip is great and easy to lay him in rather than a side zip which I've purchased previously and returned. This is absolutely perfect! I brought 6 to 18 month size.
