Sizing Info
My Boxer Mix is 20” from hackles (the top of the shoulder blade) to the base of his tail (right above his a$$hole, not including his tail thickness). Gently placing a tape measure around his chest (right behind his front legs on bottom and right behind his hackles on top) is 29”. He is pretty lean and handsome as [email protected]: Your dogs body weight is not a good description of fit nor body type. In the future, can we all agree to start posting measurements in the comments/descriptions?With the measurements above and the chart supplied, i should go with a 20M. Since I’m not dumb dumb, i read the reviews and they pretty much said to pick the next size up.The 22L fit him like an Instagram Models’ gym shorts... amazed it didn’t rip! So, i returned it and got one size up from that, the 24M... fit him like JNCO Jeans on a fence post! Wow what a jump in size! The chest was a decent size on the 24M for my dog with a 29” chest and i took it in a bit with the ol’ singer machine along either side of the zipper towards the rear and it fits preeetty good now.The material seems pretty damn fine! I’d totally wear something of this quality! This fitting seams to work best with some kinds of hounds like a whippet, egyptian, or a grey. If you’ve got something else, consider buying two (one size up and one that’s two sizes up) and see which one fits best.

It’s doing its job well
I live in New England and bought this to help keep my pup warm.By itself it seems to keep him warm in mid to low 20’s F. He normally needs a sweater at 33* F

High performance poochwear!
True to Hurtta sizing. Have owned other Hurtta products and this fits just as well as the Extreme winter and Combat jackets. The 20 fits my 55lb female German Shorthaired Pointer perfectly (muscular large chest and narrow waist). Quality is as good as it should be at this price point. Basically, this is a mid weight long John. Materials are similar to human ski/ outdoor gear. Obviously very well thought out features and attention to detail. Open rear end with good leg coverage without binding. Our use is as a base layer underneath an outer insulated jacket in northern Canada and the Alaskan interior with temps to -20 to -50F.

Nearly perfect
My pitbull is very athletic and also very sensitive to the cold. I put this on him for a late winter hike and it fit him perfectly. The waist adjustment was a pleasant surprise which helped tremendously since he has a small waist and broad chest. He didn’t shiver once! At one point he ran through a mud pit and I was nervous on what the effects of that would be. It did absorb more moisture than I would have liked. But no mud or debris reached his skin, and it washed looking brand new again. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Works well on my female standard poodle.
On a standard poodle or any other leggy, deep chested breed with a tail which is placed high on the body measure all the way to back hips for a good fit rather than the base of the tail. I had to return a size 22 for 24. Size 22 fit her 17" chest but was too tight for her length for her to move. Better to have it loose so she has full movement. She is no longer shivering in the Chicago cold (I keep her in a short sports cut for ease of grooming).

For my pup with ACL issues
Ordered this for my puggle who has had ACL/CCL tears. Had surgery (TPLO) for one knee and is awaiting surgery on the other. He limps subtly on walks in the cold. I needed something that would cover his back knees and keep them warmer. This does and helps! And it's adorable on him!The zipper could be a little more substantial. Last time I put it on him, the zipper pulled apart. I was able to get it zipped back up and it's fine, but it's a bit touchy.

Good for layering
My dog is a short haired, single coated breed (American Bully) and I was looking specifically for something to layer under his winter coat. This is exactly what I wasn’t looking for. The outer material is really soft and it seems like it would be warm, while the inner material is sort of like a soft foil? It’s really strange actually lol but it seems like it works well for trapping heat inside. The zipper on this is actually really annoying, you have to put your dog’s legs all in and then pull both sides of the fabric up over their back and zip it from the tail up. It’s actually really difficult to do if your dog doesn’t stand completely still. There’s also not many points of adjustment, so it is a little big in some areas on my dog, but I also understand that he’s not a normal shape/size so I’ll chalk part of that up to him as an individual. I do like that he can potty while wearing it and it is light weight so it can be worn alone when it’s not super cold or we can use it to layer and warm his entire body (core, legs, and neck) when it’s below freezing. I wouldn’t necessarily say the material is water resistant, but he doesn’t get soaked wearing it. If it’s wet out I would advise putting a water proof coat over the top of it.

great once you find the right fit
this is the size 16 on our 19lb cockapoo. Had to try 3 times to get the right size as the sizing chart said to add 2" for comfort which made the first one size 20 too huge.....

It is great for protecting your short hair dog from the frigid cold in winter ...
We would have kept it for some good reasons: it is good material and very nicely done. The reflective material on the back of it is probably the best idea ever since dog coats have been invented. Unfortunately, our dog is not comfortable wearing it. The material on the chest and front legs would stretch every time the dog would run or move faster. Our dog is big chested and highly energy, loves to run. If you don't experience this problem, by getting this body warmer you will have the best protection under a winter coat or by itself when there are not many degrees below. We were sorry to return it.

Cheap zipper
I was so excited that I found an item that would fit my American Bulldog. I purchased in advance of the cold weather. The material is great and looked like it was very well made. He never even made it past the short drive (5 min) to our walking location and the zipper broke rendering this useless unless I have someone replace the zipper. Very disappointed that a well made product would use such a cheap zipper. Hurtta - really surprised and disappointed.

Tolles Teil,

As Described -- It's lovely
Fantastic bodysuit. It's very light but the interior has some warming capabilities, somewhat similar to under armour but for dogs. My girl is very comfortable and enjoys lounging around the house in it. It also keeps her pretty dry and warm for those chilly warm mornings we go for a run or stroll.I highly recommend. Be sure to measure the length from the withers to tail for correct measurement. These are true to size.

Just the right amount of shield against snow, icecicle and wind.
Took a couple of tries for sizing but once dialed in it fits my boxer/schnauzer mix (42lbs) perfect. Keeps snow, iceballs, mud from whole body, repels rain somewhat and breaks the wind just enough that he wants to stay out longer. It acts as just the right shield in the winter when dog is active, not designed to be a parka.Easy to put on once you get the hang of it. Happy with purchase would recommend.
