About Latigo Leather: Latigo leather is cowhide leather that is combination tanned. First it is chrome tanned, then it is vegetable tanned. Latigo is usually infused with oils and waxes. Techniques such as hot-stuffing, wet-stuffing, and fat liquoring have been devised to increase the amount of oil and wax the hide can hold. Due to oil/wax infusion, and its partial chrome tanning, the leather is moderately flexible, less rigid than full vegetable tans, but more rigid than full chrome tans. Because of its weight and tanning process, latigo is among the most expensive cattle hide leathers. In Western saddlery latigos are the name given to straps securing the cinches to the saddle rigging. It is perfect for: Tack, straps, belts, pet collars, leashes, cinches.

High Quality - Fast Delivery
Received the leather strap much faster than expected. It is of high quality and appears that it will work for my project. The reason I say appears is that this is a very detailed custom project. An antique style presentation case (wood) with leather strap closures and hinges. I still need to do some interior work lining it with velvet and getting the inset correct for the item it is intended to house as well as running down some antique brass buckles and end fittings for the straps. However, the leather is of correct size, color, thickness and pliability. Overall I am very pleased as this will make the finishing touches on a presentation case I am making that will be of museum quality.

Works for my needs.
I have ulnar nerve damage in right arm. My doctor had a plastic brace made for me to help control pain. After breaking several I decided to make my own brace out of leather. I did and my brace works better than one provided by Tulsa Bone & Joint.

Not Hi Grade Premium Leather
I thought this would be like buying a 9/10 ounce shoulder quality leather but it is not. It seems very cheap and even punching holes wasn't anything like using what I would call real leather. I am going to use it and hope it holds up because I'v got to complete a knife scabbard but I won't be ordering it again.

Not real leather.
I don’t think this is natural leather. Take a look at the picture. No natural leather comes in three layers.
