Sophia's Jungle Adventure: A Fun and Educational Kids Yoga Story

I bought this book for my daughter and we both really love it. The book is geared to children a bit older than my daughter (she's 2), but she's still a huge fan of the story of Sophia and her trip to Costa Rica. It's a great introduction to yoga; my daughter is already doing a lot of the yoga poses herself. The illustrations are very colorful and imaginative as well. My daughter requests this book regularly as her night-time (and day-time) go-to story book. I would definitely recommend this book!

I was recently given Sofia's Jungle Adventure as a gift. It is wonderful way to introduce children to yoga. The poses are fun and easy for young children to do. I would recommend this book to any parent of young children who would like to help their children burn off some energy in a quiet way. It's great for those days that you are stuck inside the house due to poor weather. My children loved this book so much I purchased copies for friends and for my daughter's school.

Wow, what a fantastic book! I use this book in my 5-8yo yoga class, and the kids just love it! They listen so closely to hear about Sophia's adventure, then they jump up with so much excitement to be a part of the adventure with Sophia, doing their yoga poses! I highly recommend this book as it is fun, creative, colourful, imaginative as well as educational. What more can you ask for in a book?! Thank you Giselle for a wonderful book Xox

Just okay. My three year old likes it but I was not thrilled with either the simplicity of the story or the artwork. The storytelling approach does make it easier to get kids to try the poses, but it's not a book I would buy again or for others.

sophia's jungle adventure is written like a real story with experiences in the story that translate well into yoga poses. I found this format of story telling very helpful in sharing yoga with a class of 4 and 5 year olds. It is a great interactive way for children to read and act out stories.

Cute story, good theme. I use it when I'm teaching my kids yoga class, and it's a good break in the poses to get them re-focused and listening.

I love this book so much! It's great to use at home and at the studio with the kids. If you go to the website they have color pages to download and print that are from the book.

This was a waste. The only yoga involved consisted of 1 inch cartoon characters in various poses that a few times related to the unimaginative lame story line. There was zip instruction about how to get into the pose, the desired alignment of the pose, how to get out of the pose or breathing. Zip. I bought the book for a visit to our grandkids 3 and 5 years old who love books. After 1 reading, all agreed it went into the Give Away sack.

Ace way for pupils to chill and focus on the world moving around them.
