Fraggle Rock: Complete Third Season

More Fraggle fun
I remember watching Fraggle Rock on the CBC when I was a kid. A few years ago my dad bought the complete first season on DVD. Eventually I got around to buying the rest of the sets so I now have the complete season. Unlike the first two seasons I don't really remember much about seasons three and four, since I was starting to grow out of Fraggle Rock at the time, so I didn't have as much of a nostalgia filter for this season as the first two, but I didn't make watching it any less enjoyable. There are many great episodes here: "Gobo's School for Explorers" and "Wembley and the Mean Genie" I knew because I had the comic book adaptions of those episodes, so it was great to see the original versions. "Sprocket's Big Adventure" was another great one because it was nice to see him finally discover what's behind that hole in the wall. The special features are pretty good, though I must admit it feels a bit of a let down that half of them are just old HBO promos for episodes. I guess they were starting to run out of bonus material. All in all, it's a good collection and a definite must for any Fraggle/Muppets/Jim Henson fan.

Third season doesn't disappoint
I bought this after I got season one for christmas and then bought the second season on my own. I am addicted to Fraggles now just as I was back then! What is satisfying beyond the show itself, though, is the continuation of some of my favorite packaging. The dvd box set itself is very nicely put together (though I probably wouldn't let a child play with it, as it IS cardboard!) and the colors and design rich and are a great addition to my shelf. And, of course, it comes again with a little "booklet surprise" which in this season is a miniature version of the sketchbook that some of the ideas for the show sprung from. I always look forward to these every season because the presentation of these books that accompany them are amazing in their own right, and shed some interesting light on the making of the show.If you are looking for a great show that you can share with your kids, and get into with them, I highly recommend this and the other seasons of Fraggle Rock! Know what you're kids are watching!

The DVD quality is great
The print quality of the DVD's is fantastic. Keep in mind that the series was originally shot with video tape, so it's never going to be HD quality. But the print looks as good as it ever has.You get what you'd expect from any TV season on DVD. All the episodes and a few extras. The focus is on the episodes though. You won't be unhappy with the quality. And the box is a nice sturdy contruction so it'll hold up to kids playing with it.

Fun for kids and adults!
Fraggle Rock is good clean fun for kids and adults. No matter what your age is this show is fun and entertaining to watch. If you have small children, the lessons that this show teaches are great life lessons and can help a person become a good citizen. The show teaches lessons without letting you on that that's what the purpose of the show is in the first place. Love all the Fraggle Rock DVD's!!!

What's not to love???
I know Fraggle Rock from my childhood and the episodes are still enjoyable to watch. The lessons learned are timeless and apply to children of all generations. Jim Henson was a visionary and I'm so happy that his legacy lives on and is available on DVD. I am also happy that his kids are carrying on the tradition.Having a baby in April, I can't WAIT to share this great show with my child!

Fraggle Rock Third season
Great Fraggle Rock viewing. Fantastic behind the scenes disc as well. Anxious for the 4th and 5th seasons. But will be saddened when all are released and no more to look forward to getting. The movie should be coming out after that. Thoroughly enjoyed the shows with our children when they were young, and now with our grandchild. She has the stuffed characters but she wishes they came out with Jr Gorg as well.

Love "passing this down" to the next generations!
I watched this when I was little and I love the fact that I am now watching with my daughter and nieces and nephews! What a great gift that keeps on going (well until you reach the end of the seasons!). Good clean and heartwarming fun!

The Magic Continues
Perhaps one of the strongest set of episodes, I worked my way through these 24 episodes very fast. Some highly memorable episodes, including the atmospheric "The Bells of Fraggle Rock", and the amazing "Sprocket's Big Adventure" where Sprocket not only makes it inside Fraggle Rock, but even out into the Gorgs' garden. My only major concern is that all the pictures on the inner sleeve are the same as the ones on the series two inner sleeve, just in a different order or reversed (notice Mokey goes from being right handed on the series 2 sleeve, but left on series 3, same picture reversed.) It's a pity the packaging is so cheap, surely a list of titles wouldn't cost the earth.Over all, a strong set of episodes, can't wait for season 4... (still waiting)In the meantime, I have come to the knowledge that 13 of these episodes are known to exist in some form or other in their proper British versions: "The Bells of Fraggle Rock" as a Fulton MacKay episode, "Born to Wander", "Believe It Or Not", "A Dark and Stormy Night", "The Beanbarrow, The Burden and the Bright Bouquet", "The Battle of Leaking Roof", "Red Handed and the Invisible Thief", "Pebble Pox Blues", "Scared Silly", "The Great Radish Caper", "Home is Where the Trash Is", and "Bored Stiff" as John Gordon Sinclair episodes, and "Sprocket's Big Adventure" as a Simon O'Brien episode.

Generation to generation fun
I loved fraggle Rock as a kid, and call my nephew 'fraggle' loved being able to show him where his name comes from and he loves it too (he is five)Only down side is that the man and dog is the american version rather than the UK one I grew up with, but the fraggles are all the same :)
