My 2nd Masalong knife and counting!
I am giving this karambit a 5 star. Here is why first of its built like a tank but not too heavy. The handle feels great very comfortable and grippy yet with no hot spots at least none that I noticed. The size and curvature of the blade allow for comfortable horizontal carry. Amazing sheath well built from Kydex and a TECH Lock style belt loop. Overall a very nice knife and very sharp right out the box. This is a great defensive EDC knife. Yes its not stainless steel but that doesn't make this a bad knife. Just needs a quick wipe with your favorite lube. Also I wear xl to xxl gloves and this fits my hands just right. (Glove quote to give reference to hand size.) Deffinatly recommend this to any one looking for a defensive EDC.

Never disappointed
I have never been disappointed by Masalong knives (Karambit’s) ever. The shipping is always quick from what I remember from other purchases. The packaging especially on this one was outstanding, it had the feel like I was unboxing a $1500 knife. The karambit handle feels better than any high end cold steel, benchmade, custom fixed blade that I own, to also include SOME of my Emerson knives karambits. All these other knives are at much higher price points with much fancier steels and do not have the fit and finish of this Masalong. The D2 steel is perfect for what this knife was designed to do. All you need to do is make sure it is razor sharp and then you have great self defense tool. My older Masalong karambits have held up and aged very well. This one is indeed a few steps up from those for sure, and I am very please with the purchase. I am so pleased that I am going to purchase a second one next month.

Sheath has bad dimensions
The knife wasnt bad, getting sick of printed Damascus..... But i like the San Mai so thats why i got it. No complaints other than that on the blade. BUT!!!!!! the sheath sux. It wont even fit around a REAL click belt. Its too narrow. So unless you buy the cheap chinese thin junk belts that break in a month...this sheath needs improved drastically. Now i have to find a sheath so i can actually wear this OK blade.

Only minor imperfections. Still a quality piece of work.
Quality wise this piece is excellent. My only issue with the knife is i had thought maybe the handle material was more polished to a shine and it wasnt... which i can accept and live with.I also have the damascus styled etched blade. I think its well done, definitively more pronounced and textured on the flat side of the blade, more so than i thought itd be... But it is nice. Its also quality sharp. But the hexagonal ring end of the blade isnt polished at all... Almost very minorly grainy and i think itd have been better polished to a shine. That combined with a polished shiney handle may have been more aesthetically appealing. Also the back thumb serrarions used to hold your thumb from sliding up the back of the knife... run down a little close to the handle. Holding the knife backward and trying to spin it how he does in this video... Is going to cause that serration to dig into your palm. It isnt damaging, but it does scrape slightly annoyingly against the bottom of the inside of my hand. And i dont have this issue with a different karambit from the same makers. The handle could perhaps be brought higher, or the bottom 2 serrations could be taken out and one could be added above the highest one and this wouldn't cause that issue.Overall its still a very nice knife.

Great knife for the price!
A well balanced and high quality knife. Feels great in the hand and very comfortable. No pinch points. The sheath is of high quality and fits the knife very snug yet not to tight.

This knife is the real deal. It's sharp as a razor, heavy, and very well balanced.
While this blade is quite beautiful, it is also extremely well built. The blade is as sharp as one could want in a defensive weapon, but also extremely well balanced when spun around. The sheath is a little strange, but practical. The knife fits well and stays in regardless of orientation. I tested it out on some thick weeds and they were like butter. I would highly recommend this knife to collectors as well as anyone wanting a defensive weapon that is also really amazing looking.

5 stars all day
Wow. This is a ferocious hand-to-hand weapon. I would not want to be on the receiving end or have to use it at all. But it is gorgeous and heavy. Everything is overbuilt and beeftastic. The milled G10 scales look super tasteful with the layered tones. The edge is sharp and the tip is nasty. The best feature is the finger guard, whether you draw in a proper underhand or foolproof overhand orientation, there is a clear tactile guard between your meaty digits and that edge. Sheath retention is very strong, to the point where it better be anchored tight to whatever for a 1-hand draw. Tek-lok type belt clip is awesome if you live somewhere hat open carry is your only legal option for a fixed blade like this. They should have let me have a pocket knife as a kid, then I wouldn’t be obsessed with anything edged.
