Revised review
Revised review: unfortunately after less than a year, the bottle, plastic part of the kettle has started to crack and peel away from the light strip area. Really hoping this does not get any worse! And feel it really should be happening after less than a years use...Great product. Very happy with purchase. Boils quickly and relatively quietly. Lights up the room at night. Have received compliments about it. Looks more expensive than what it is.

Good kettle
Boils water with conviction and looks nice.Had the none iridescent one first and it went bang after about 19 months. Decided to buy something else but couldn't find anything that looked as good or was as good value. Fingers crossed this one lasts a bit longer.

Don't waste your money
The kettle when unboxed looks gorgeous, the glass looks like a blown bubble.First use I realised the design flaw. The metal bottom of the kettle isn't quite silver, it's more of a yellow green. So the water as it boils looks disgusting. Like murky pond water. This only seems to get worse with each use and a build up of scale on the boiling plate. Ive never really had issues with scale in any previous kettles (that were visable anyway). So it's not pretty at all. It's also not easy to clean, inside and outside needs washed and polished very regularly. Also I don't know if I was just unlucky, or its a fault with this range but I've had it only 6 months and it's now not working. Noticed it was a bit temperamental about a week ago, it had to be sitting 'just so' or it wouldn't boil. Started clicking off half way through boiling and now it's given up entirely.

:) A beautiful disappointment! :(
Looks lovely! Heats water up perfectly in glass and great value! However Salter usually design better than this - a bit flawed in a few ways!1. The LED stays constantly on in this day and age of saving the planet.2. The on/off switch area should have been designed to open the lid to fill water. Instead you manually pull, at times, a very hot catch on top after boiling. A very minor burn hazard.3. The filter strainer lets water pour around it's sides and more of an added after thought than made to fit.So I'm still happy to use it till it gets old and warn as it was such good value for something so nice to look at.

Stopped working after 18 months!
This kettle looks stylish, however after 18 months it had stopped working and I am very disappointed. Shortest life I have ever had a kettle for

Works well, no problems
The media could not be loaded. Works as expected. We like the lights and that you can watch it boil. Would be better if the lights were red when hot and blue when cold instead of blue when power is on and red when it's heating up.
