GE Motion-Tracking LED Security Spotlight Smart Track Technology

What a great security light!I purchase a pair of these GE motion sensor LED lights. Very well made. Quality design. Great utility. Once installed, there are 3 motion sensors including one on the bottom.This allows the light to detect anything very close to 45 ft away. The light is intelligent, follows the movement and does not turn on the lights unless dark enough to be required. The LEDs are very bright and the light operates well, is programmable, can be run and set up manually with the included remote control.Installation is simple, needs only a screwdriver. Can be done in less than 2 minutes once existing light is removed.Very good instructions booklet.

The unit is very easy to install and comes with all the necessary installation hardware.The lights are bright and the motion tracking mechanism works great.It does however tend to occasionally loose track and wonder a bit.I only used the remote controll to do the initial set-up, otherwise, the system works well automatically.There is a small red diode light that flashes whenever motion is detected (making people thing that it is a security camara)If you want tl loght up the neighborhood, this unit is a great choice.I would highly reccommend.

I have 2 types of motion lights and they both serve different applications. The GE light is less sensitive than my other light (Nightwatcher), but that's what I needed in the place where I put it. The thing I like about the GE is the ability to adjust the motion sensing area around the light. The only problems I've had with it is if you install it too close to a reflective object, like a bright/light colored wall, when the light hits the object the light will reflect back to the light sensor(dawn/dusk sensor) and cause the light to flash and blink several time before turning off (thinking it is daylight), when in fact it's sensing a reflection of it's own light. It works well and I like that the motion sensor is not overly sensitive like the Nightwatcher is, it would turn on everytime a car drove by on the street, I don't need that much sensitivity. This light will work well for you depending on your application.

Works OK. I have had this installed for roughly a week. It is not real sensitive to motion, which is actually fine with me, I do not want the light to be shinning on the neighbors randomly throughout the night. However, it does not always follow motion and sometimes the light will shut off while tracking, then come back on. The only thing I am worried about long term is that it still tracks motion during the day (when the light is not on) which seems like undue wear and tear.Over all, for the ~$38 that it costs it is a pretty good choice.

This motion-tracking spotlight is wonderful as a light but no good as a motion-tracking device. We mounted it at the front of our garage. As we walked toward the light, it tracked to the left and stayed there -- even though we walked to the right. It never tracked back to the right or to the middle. Perhaps we didn't know how to set it up correctly, but we tried to follow the directions that were written in the instructions. We decided to purchase a static motion-sensing light and forget about the tracking feature.

This light is a must for those areas around your home that you'd like to keep some level of security protection. The light is very bright and the motion sensing mechanism works wonderfully. In the daytime, the light when sensing motion swivels around and follows the motion. Actually, imitating possibly a camera for any person coming onto your property.

I've only installed it about 3 week ago, and so far no problems! LED lights are bright (3 settings) and the motion sensor seems to be flawless. Set up was very easy (2 wires) and testing was very easy with the included remote. However there is no motion sensitivty adjustment, only how much you angle the motion sensor. If it had a sensitivty function I would say this light is at the top of its class!
