Effective, clear, and not boring
I bought this CD set in anticipation of my BizOrg final. I was nervous because I did not understand Corporations, and was taking a long car ride anyway. I figured it was worth a try, even though it had a hefty price tag.Usually I zone in and out for lectures on tape. However, the lecturer for Law School Legends Corporations clearly and interestingly explained the subject and reinforced/emphasized many points. When I reviewed again on paper, I recalled most of the information from the CD, and I did VERY well on my final (in what I thought was my worst subject!)I knew this CD was successful when I sat for the bar exam. New York tests Corporations on its exam. While looking at a question, I suddenly heard Ms. Maynard's voice repeating the rule of law for the subject three times (as she actually did on the CD). This was months after I listened to the CD, and I still remembered.

Could be better. Could be worse.
Why do the Law School Legends editors find it impossible to break up the tracks into individual segments. If you just want to review a section you need to guess which CD it might be on then fast forward until you find it.Other than that, the other reviewer was spot on when he said this was like one giant run on sentence where there appears to be a complete absence of any punctuation and this makes it even more difficult to find what you want and once you have found it to keep up separate what is important and establish where the topic has moved on.Punctuation is important, even in audiobooks.

It is the audio engineer that did not set up the recording as good as it could be
I noticed a review that that the professors voice is unbearable! This is not the case.It is the audio engineer that did not set up the recording as good as it could be. The overall course is excellent as an overview. The down side is that the cd course is all on one cd track. Cd 1- ( of 9 CDs) for example, is the whole lecture ( rather than every 3 minutes or so). So you can't move subject to subject review. That is the company not the professors fault.

Very helpful
I hesitated to buy this for one day because of someone's negative review of Professor Maynard's presentation, but I am so glad that I bought this series. I am listening to it intensely and over and over to prep for my final exam. Au contraire to the negative review, I actually find Professor Maynard's presentation engaging. I think this is best used for the purpose of reviewing what you learned in your course. I also bought the Constitutional Law CDs of this series and find it quite helpful too.

Accurate, but dry as a bone
Maynards voice is absolutely awful. The content is all in her presentation, and if you can make it through without injuring yourself, the content is probably worth while. This is the second audio lecture I've gotten with her as the presenter, and it's just as bad as the first one. So 5 stars for content, 1 star for horrible presentation skills. Net net, 3 stars.- Me: 3L law student.

3.9 Stars
The information is just what i wanted, but the delivery is not great. It's like 8 disks of one giant runon sentence. Poor presentation. Great content.

Extremely Helpful
Professor Maynard manages to simplify yet thoroughly explain the gamut of a Business Associations/Corporations course. It was very helpful for my review of the class. I highly recommend this!
