I needed a dress for my son's wedding in October and felt the choices were too limited in my hometown. Plus size formals can be so matronly looking and I am far from matronly! Just because I'm a big girl doesn't mean I want to look frumpy so I decided to try Amazon for my dress and took a chance on this dress based on the reviews. I couldn't have been more happy. The dress was stunning and I had compliments all night long! It was a beautiful shade of purple with just the right amount of glittery sparkle. I wear a size 24 and bought my size and had plenty of room in it to move, dance, etc. I did wear Spanx with it but who doesn't? I paired it with jewelry I also bought on Amazon that matched it to a PERFECT 'T'. I had no issue with the price, shipping was fast and I will most definitely wear this gown again for formal night on a cruise. Buy your normal size. Also, you don't need a special bra with this dress which was a bonus! Straps stayed up all night like they were supposed to. The slit was super sexy! You will feel like a princess in this gown. I promise!

The dress is beautiful and light weight. I purchased the size 16 and it did require alterations under the arms (too large) and I did not want to have it reveal too much at the top so I had the straps brought up and the gathering adjusted at cleavage. I was able to wear a bra/slip with straps due to the shoulder straps on the dress and during alterations they made sure to have them a little wider to make sure they covered the bra straps.I am 5’ 3” so the length was too long but that was okay because I wanted it longer than in the sample photo shown on the website.I wore this as the Mother of the Groom. I received many compliments but I will caution that the glitter is a concern for photographers. Please make sure you have a lint roller and don’t touch your face before photos. Everyone you hug will get glitter on them! After the photos.... who cares! Glitter away!DO NOT spray hairspray on the dress! I read the reviews about the glitter and bought the dress anyway. I asked the dry cleaners about the hair spray and was told not to because it would stain the dress. Just want to pass that along.The dress is a smoke (gray) color but in different lighting it has a blue tone.

I am 5’4 1/2” and bought a size 14 for my sons wedding. I wear a 38 ddd so was very concerned about finding a dress that fit correctly in the bust area, while also fitting my hourglass shape. This dress came and fit perfectly with no alterations! I had so many compliments I couldn’t believe it. This was the first I tried on and didn’t need to look any further. Great quality and AMAZING PRICE 💜

I wore this gown to my Son's wedding and felt like I was on DYNASTY....everyone complimented my dress and my Son was proud to dance with his Mom. This dress is classy, elegant, has LOTS of give so you don't feel stuffed into it. Comfortable, soft inside, VERY VERY SPARKLY outside ( GLITTER HURRICANE ALERT) and I LOVED IT! The price was GREAT! I wasn't sure the size I ordered was gonna fit but it did! I'm wearing the biggest size it comes in , I am 5'6 and almost 350lbs. I do recommend a shaper if you have rolls and a strapless bra ( I had neither )

I ordered this dress to wear to my daughter's wedding. It's glamorous but not terribly difficult to wear. I'm not into high fashion. I much prefer to dress for comfort so choosing a formal dress for such an important occasion was stressful. I lost count of how many dresses I actually tried on before & after purchasing this one. When I received it, I thought it was beautiful and really captured the look I was hoping for. It was also much lighter weight than most of the other options I tried. As I searched, I learned that lots of beading, rhinestones, sequins etc. are very heavy not to mention quite abrasive to exposed skin on your arms when they make contact. There were a few issues with this gown, which is why I continued to look even after buying it. I just wasn't able to find anything that had as many of the elements that I was searching for.Cons:The fabric on the drop sleeves should've been designed a bit looser. I'm not sure if this would be a non-issue for the thinner ladies, but I got a little frustrated that raising my arms would push the lower sleeves up and since the fabric has a hint of stretch they seemed to contract a bit and stay there instead of relaxing back down on my arm as shown in the photo.The back zipper did not lay flat. It buckled. I ordered the dress a size larger to overcome this but found that it was still the same. I could put the dress on by sliding it over my head (without unzipping it) so it clearly wasn't a size restriction. I believe that the fabric may be too lightweight to pull it down & hold it down flat. I considered having some sort of boning added to correct this but didn't manage to do so before the big day arrived.Pros:Light weight fabric-very comfortable to wearVery figure flattering-very feminineGlitter infused fabric- Even though you might be covered in glitter simply from trying this dress on, I wouldn't consider this a "con". It gives this dress a WOW factor that can't be ignored.You will look like you are wearing a designer gown at a very affordable price. I would definitely recommend it.

I thought the dress looked nice on the model only because she's skinny, but it looked great on me. I am 5'1" @ 145 lbs., and I ordered a 10 Petite. I had to cut one inch off its length so that I can wear only 3 inches of heels instead of 4. I looked shapely in it and the style was flattering. I received countless compliments about how great and elegant I looked. I'm very happy about this purchase. Highly recommended!

Dress fits nicely,some adjustments needed but I am short so would need to do any way, there could be a little more fabric on the arm for people with heavier arms, but all in all quite nice...the 14 P didn’t fit Any better

I love this dress. It has a flattering fit especially for plus size. Also comfortable and easy to move in. Price was great! Wearing it for my daughter’s wedding. Colour is more beautiful in person than the picture.

Unfortunately the colour wine was purple, not wine(burgundy)..the seams of the lining of the bodice of the dress showed through and it looked lumpy and unflattering. As mother of the groom the style otherwise was pretty..leg slit not too high, cold shoulder draping covered imperfect biceps, material lightweight and did not wrinkle. I was disappointed and returned the dress.

Although the dress is gorgeous, I broke out because of the material. Could not wear it and had to return. Dr. said it was probably from all the glitter in the material/dress. Very disappointed!
