Simply loving the K712 !!
I already own the MKII 240 series but I was finding it to be rather dull sounding with a somewhat muddy low end. K712 is quite an upgrade from the 240 and I find its sound to be quite well balanced specially the low end. I had been using the 240 for a few years now and I got the K712 a few months back, I suppose I won't be going back to the 240 henceforth. The high end has enough clarity, which has to be said since clarity can tend to lean towards a more brighter sound in headphones. The comfort level also is quite amazing even after long hours of listening. This is really well suited for mixing, in fact I'm prefering it more than the monitors even, simply due to the closeness with the sound you feel, the comfort and also since I don't seem lose too much perception compared to the monitors. The cover that comes with it seems to be the icing on the cake, a much needed thing it is.The only concern I have is the seemingly flimsy nature of the wire compared to that of the 240, probably I'm wrong regarding its durability which will be evident with time. The concern is only in comparison but otherwise seems fine only.

Sweet, clear and serene !
First good news ! Made in Slovakia!! I am very happy. Build is good and comfort is very good as if nothing on ear or head. Now sound, it is very very good. It is clear, clean with no irritating edge. Bass is normal. Actually it is a balanced headphone with enjoyable sound . Mid and treble is perfect. Voice is sweet and oozing emotion ,treble is soothing not irritating. Overall the sound is very pleasing and can be listen for hours. Yes, you can hear direct from good mobile phones ,I tested it from Samsung s8 plus and s 20 plus. Generally reviews confuse with technical jargon like mid bass, upper mids ,sibilance ,kz 20 ,kz20000 etc . Put these technicals aside, the sound should be clear and pleasing and here AKG712 PRO is impeccable. Do not hesitate ,just buy. Highly recommended as top headphone.

Awesome! Clearing some misconceptions
Amazing headphones!Writing this review to clear up some misconceptions which I read on internet reviews:1. Lacks bass - I don't think so at all, its crisp, clear, fast and punchy bass that doesn't muddle the rest of the music.2. Boring sound - depends on your definition, but if you're looking for great sound clarity and detail, great sound positioning and a wide soundstage that makes songs sound like you're in a concert hall, you're sorted.3. Isn't good for rock or metal - again subjective, but here's what I think, there are a lot of badly mastered rock songs out there. I heard really aggressive, noisy and overloaded tracks that sounded really great and much simpler tracks that sounded very noisy4. Needs an amp - not on my iPhone SE 2022 and 2018 macbook pro, but yeah, i max out the volume on both.5. Bad for gaming and movies - not at all, just look at the rest of the points above and you'll understand - wide soundstage is immersive, crisp audio detail helps you identify sounds easily, and the great sound positioning makes it easier to identify where sounds are coming from. Lacks a mic though, so you'll need something else for voice chatsOverall great all-rounder headphones that you can listen to forever in comfort, hope the points above help you decide. I struggled with the decision.

A listening man’s headphone
This is headphone tried and tested for several years - yet loved and adored. These cans have amazing soundstage. The low-end is terrific for an open back. The imaging is just like sitting in an live theatre. The treble is smooth and no evidence of sibilance or irritation. You can go on for hours and hours without fatigue. The mid is just about right, I have no complaints. The pads are memory foam and fit well over a pair of glasses. The one star is reduced for a sub-par elastic mechanism which might break easily and the underwhelming build quality.Note - don’t let the 62 Ohm and 105 SPL fool you. These cans sound much better with a poweful source and PLEASE don’t use it without amping.

Truly Magical
AKG K712 Pro is an extremely versatile monitors with an exceptionally wide sound-stage, right up there among the widest staging headphones. It's made in Slovakia, and is very comfortable and light weight, you can wear them all day listening to your favorite songs without any issue or discomfort. These have a dynamic, energetic and exciting sound signature, and have very clean and robust drivers with some of the best ear-cups, that makes your listening experience a blissful delight. These have extremely wide range of sound stage and airy representation, instruments and vocals have plenty of breathing space as well due to open back design. They have deep, extended bass response, warm and energetic mid range, highs are very dynamic and bright without being sharp. You can listen to any genre of music without having single thought. You need an amp or DAC to drive these monitors because of higher impedance of 62 Ohms, these will sound average on a Laptop or a Mobile. You also need to burn-in these monitors for about 30 hours, to get an optimum result, more you listen better they sound :)

Great soundstage and imaging
Liked - great soundstage and imaging as my primary use was movies and gaming. For the same use case comfort is also important as listening sessions are longer on avg, the large velour ear pads are soft and airy for better comfort.Dislikes - Packing and handling - Appario takes the seal off from the main box and it looks as if it's a used/returned stock which it could be but no way to tell. Harman India confirmed it I emailed them. Also the box condition looks beaten up, comes in single plastic cover no extra cardboard box. Ordered a replacement after the first delivery, slightly better condition on the box 2nd time but still has signs of damage on the box. Product was safe. Also you'd need a dedicated amp to drive this. I paired it with the fiio k5 pro and goes upto 12 o'clock on med gain for it get just above comfortable volume. 11 o'clock for background listening.

Best headphones
The best headphones you can get for this money, in my opinion.I'm a music producer and have used them on a daily basis for close to a year. They're super clear, yet very neutral. They're also super comfortable and lightweight. I've had many headphones over the years and got tired after a few hours of wearing them. With those ones, I never had any comfort issue. They're relatively fragile (compared to something like the Audio Technica m50x, which is pretty much like a nokia flip phone in terms of toughness), so I'd recommend getting a rigid case to protect your investment if you plan on moving around with them.I bought this one and it fits them perfectly:https://www.amazon.ca/Sennheiser-Audio-Technica-W3000ANV-Headphone-Accessories/dp/B00DWV5CACWould definitely recommend to anyone doing audio work, music production, mixing or mastering.
