So much better than the plastic!
My husband previously bought a similar product in plastic. It was such a pain to clean (and like replacing toilet paper, I'm the only one in the house capable of cleaning this ...) I saw this product one day on a daily deal and decided to give it a try for the bathtub. It is SO much easier to clean and the little holes don't clog with soap scum the way the plastic one did. I will be buying more for all the bathroom drains.

Best drain catcher yet. Solid design. Replaceable seal.
I have used many different hair catching products but this one is very much superior to any other, which includes the ability to change the rubber ring if/when you need to. Additionally, it's made of stainless steel and VERY high quality. This is the ONLY drain catcher device I will ever use.

Effective Hair Catcher
I bought the Tub Shroom first and was satisfied with it and I was going to get another one when I came across this metal hair catcher. It essentially did the same thing as the tub shroom but the bath tub looks so much nicer now with the metal finish!! The best part is it is the same price as the tub shroom :)

An improvement over the silicon versions
I originally had a silicon "Shroom" (as seen on Shark Tank), but it got moldy and disgusting in short order. This stainless steel drain catcher is a huge improvement! It looks sharp in the sink, it stays much cleaner, and it needs unclogging much less often. And most importantly, it is not getting moldy. This was worth every penny, especially since it will save me a fortune in plumber fees.

EXACTLY what we needed for our small bathroom sink drain!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This product is absolutely awesome! I was so frustrated because I could not find a strainer for my bathroom sink for the longest time. I checked Home Depot, I checked Lowe’s, but thankfully I stumbled across this product. My plumber—for reasons beyond me— installed a non-standard drain in my sink and no stopper or strainer I could find would fit. Standard is 1.25” to 1.5” and he installed a drain with a 1” opening. #facepalm Any who, this product saved the damn and ended my frustrations. I HIGHLY recommend it!

Slow drain, seller solved problem
UPDATED to 4 stars from two. Reason: seller reached out to me and sent me an updated version which, apparently, has larger holes. I couldn't tell just by looking at it but water flow improved by 50%. Enough to consider it a keeper. Also, I found a little trick that helped even more. If I pish the catcher all the way down, draining is slower. If you lift it half way it will improve a lot and still catch hair :)We have an original hair shroom hair catcher but it really doesn't fit as far as aesthetics. This one looked great, the switchable rubber rings are also great but the drainage is horrible. First time use, no hair or gunk in it, 5 minutes into the shower and the water was up to my ankles. Nope. The original one is also a pain as far as draining, but in no way like this. Returned

Effective at Stopping Thin Hair
Pros: I like that the material is not plastic, and that it has a smaller geometric pattern to really trap my thin hairs from going down the drain.Side Note: I have an older bathtub drain stopper which makes the product stick out about 3 mm from the tubs base, but It does not impede the flow of water, nor does it prevent the product from working properly. One concern that I have is that I do not know how long the rubber ring will last given the constant wear the ring will receive. I started using it on Dec. 21, 2018 and will edit this review if I ever need to replace it.

IT WORKS!
I actually learned about these concepts from 3-D printing threads that I read, but I wanted something metal that wouldn't harbor bacteria like a 3-D print might.I took measurements with a tape measure for width and depth, then pulled as much hair as I could out (since the now-former catcher didn't do a good job since it sat above the drain) for when this arrived and I placed it in. The water drainage was slow, but that wasn't this product's fault, there was just too much build-up in the pipes. So, I used a 17 fl oz bottle of "Drano Dual-Force Foamer Clog Remover" and that made a noticeable difference but water was still backing up when this filter was in the drain. I then bought and used a second 17 oz bottle of the "Drano Dual-Force Foamer Clog Remover" and *VOILA!* everything now works, and I've pulled quite a bit of hair out of this filter already, and water never pools at the bathtub, even when I initially turn it on and water is flowing full force before I turn on the overhead shower.

Good idea, just doesn't work
We loved this idea, my wife seems to cast more than a dog in the shower and I end up pulling out what looks like dead rats on a weekly basis.Put the hair catcher in, which was simple and an easy fit, unfortunately by design the small holes slow the drain of water and will stop it draining adequately. After a couple of days we gave up, the hair in the drain causing less mess.

Money well spent
It does the job amazingly! It's easy to clean. Sturdy construction. I think it's no match for the rubber ones. Definitely I will recommend this one over the other.
